In hota (or hd, either of one) there is an option to show not the growth, but amount of units recruitable for that moment in the left bottom corner if that is what you mean....maybe that happened.

And of course, loads of angel dwellings also possible

I'm working my way through the HoTA campaign and I'm just so impressed with how professional and well-done everything in the campaign is. It's really *hard*, but since I've played every scenario in the vanilla game multiple times, that's a plus rather than a minus.

The only minor flaw in the campaign is that, while the story is really interesting, the English translations are not quite perfect. I'd like to offer help editing those if that would be welcome: I'm a native English speaker and teach English classes at a university, so I could polish them up without risk of introducing new errors.

Használd az MMarchive nevű programot. Nyisd meg benne a H3bitmap.lod nevű fájlt, szűrj rá a .fnt kiterjesztésre, és exportáld ki az összes fájlt.
Azután nyisd meg a HotA.lod fájlt, és importáld be az összes .fnt fájlt, írd felül az orosz nyelvű fájlokat.

Kész is van!

I'm playing against the computer, use also HD mode, and I put all the computers players in one team. However, it seems that the computer players kick each other and so they are not in the same team...does any of you encounter this bug?

I might have said something about it in this thread before, but it would be really nice if you could disable Cloak of the Undead King, meaning you could still collect the 3 necro artifacts, but you could'nt assemble the cloak. Then maybe change the 3 necroartifacts back to 5%, 10% and 15% again.

This would break various custom maps and.. SoD campaigns. By the way, power of Cloak in HotA is halved -raises only 15% enemy's deads.

Why would it break them?, are you saying there are maps where you are supposed to have Cloak of the Undead King?
It's still overpowered even if only half as powerful as before, especially since it's very easy to assemble.

Edit: Or maybe it could be changed from Zombies/Wraiths/Power Liches to Skeleton Warriors/Zombies/Wraiths? (The Skeleton Warriors raised with power like normal skeletons)

The HW rulez plugin already disables the effects of the assembled Clock of the Undead King. Tho, it still gives the wearing hero Necromancy at expert level. But just like diplomacy, I'm sure this will be officially addressed at some point in some future patch.

About Necromancy percentage, I feel it currently seem about OK balanced to me. You have to considering all the buffs that necromancy have also received compared to SoD. You are now actually allowed to build amplifiers. You can now use Necromancy specialty without SoD restrictions. And there's a Skeleton Transformer as an adventure map object. Seem pretty good to me. However, a minor thing, I do feel that '2,5%' and '7,5%' from necro artefacts feel a bit off in a way, even if it actually makes good sense in the way that they're simple half of the original SoD values. But I sort of like the idea of 5%, 5%, 5% better in the sense that the Undertaker amulet at least wouldn't feel so abyssal by itself then. Not sure if this could actually be acceptable since these artefacts should give different stats based on their current artefact classes, treasure, minor, major - unless changed - which would seem to go against the classicality aspect. You could alternatively remove the amulet and have 5%, 10% by only having two necro artefacts which actually seem better. But I can also easily understand their reasoning for using 2.5, 5, 7.5 based on artefacts classes and the balance aspect, etc. Anyhow, these are just my thoughts and are not meant as outright suggestions.

Yeah I don't really like the rules from HW Rules, except maybe for the nerf to Cloak of the Undead King, but thanks anyway.
I am wondering if 2,5% and 7,5% even work or maybe they are rounded down to 2 and 7%?

It seems to be rounded down. I tested that if you kill 67 creatures and have 7.5% skill percentage, basic + 2.5% from Undertaker then you get:

63 / 100 * 7.5 = 4.725 = 4 skeletons raised (in my testing)

But you have to consider that you of course wont be fighting stacks of exactly 100 creatures every time, so the calculation will often need rounding in any case.

hippox necromancy in HotA is either 5, 10 or 15% add to that the Amulet and that's +2,5% (or 2%?) so are you sure your calculation is right?
I am just not sure it considers the ,5 as things usually gets rounded down in Heroes, you can't do 23,5 damage either...

Well, 40 / 100 * 7.5 does provide 3 skeletons, so it does work as intended. If it was bugged it'd give 2 skeletons (5%). If it was 7% it'd give 2.8 skeletons which would be rounded down to 2.

I don't know about your famous map but Cloack was fine in all HotA maps I played (even when I could assemble it soon it hardly produced an army as strong as the one I had on main from initial town plus creature banks) and is a part of some already made maps.

HotA 1.4.2 TCP/IP Problems

Hi All,

I had been playing HotA flawlessly over TCP/IP with a friend until I lost my laptop and had to purchase a new laptop.  Now, whenever I try to host a game via TCP/IP, when I click host it asks me to create a "game name".  I just leave the game name as is, and click OK.  When I click OK, the game freezes.  

If my friend tries to host a game, it works just fine, but when I go to join his game it just endlessly searches and never finds the game.

We are both playing through MAC, using Hamachi, and have both disabled encryption on Hamachi.  Additionally, we have also both gone into Wine Tricks and installed the directplay dlls.

I am wondering if there is a step that I am forgetting to complete before being able to play through TCP/IP.  Looks like my Firewalls are disabled on my MAC as well.  

If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for your help!

You really don't think it's overpowered?, last time I got it I was able to farm hundreds of Power Liches fast, this was way too much for the enemy to handle.
I know it is only half as strong as it used to be, but it is still way too much imo.
