Make an addon after a few years of hard work, with quality of an actual expansion pack on which you could earn roughly 20$ each, but share it with other players for free...
Hear players complaints about few glitched pixels...
Seriously guys, HotA team needs some feedback on crashes and balancing, stuff like those pixels can wait a bit...

I'm not complaining, I'm reporting. I simply want HotA to become better and better, that's it.
Of course, crashes are the most important things to report and fix, but I don't get any.

If you click on QUIT in the menu, three bright blue pixels appear.
In this hero's portrait there are unnecessary brown pixels.
Maybe it'd nice to improve the portrait background of some creatures. For instance here, the Inferno castle looks as if it has been just pasted from another picture.
thank you, very helpful
and yes, we read all your reports. actually, we have a regularly updated list of bugs, so most of it will be fixed someday

No, I say THANK TO YOU! I will keep reporting for sure.
Or maybe HotA could make use of something like Bugzilla. Then users and developers would be able to see what is already fixed and what not.

They actually have this fixed one, I think. Well, at least my version of 1.3.2 doesn't have this mistake anymore. They haven't fixed the visual bug with the 'Ring of Suppression' that I reported, but maybe they just haven't gotten around to do it yet, or maybe they did in fact miss it.
I do agree that it's nice to know that somebody looked at your report and said 'noted'; it doesn't have to be more words than that. Maybe it's too much to reply to every post, though. I dunno. But I'd be nice.
I have just completely reinstalled HotA (using this link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/s7q7wb) and HoMM III, but I still get these Cyrillic letters on the Credits screen.
Yup, they could also look at this ring.
Maybe in the future they will add bug reporting to HotA. For now, these simple words could be a good idea, hippox. It would be nice if they asked us to retest a given bug in the latest version when needed.
My mistake, your right about that one not being fixed. Could it be a not very visible signature? It'd make sense when it's on the credits screen, I suppose.

Besides, the HotA crew is noted for caring about fixing small pixel errors and such. I also don't think it's wise to discourage feedback, however insignificant such feedback might be compared to more serious feedback about such things as crashes.

It says 'Buka' it is the name of the Russian publisher of HoMM III. Check the Russian menu, and you'll find these letters:

If that's how it is then okay. I don't want to discourage feedback, but I know how it's irritating (for some) when after some hard work people criticize you for the smallest of details. And I don't want people in HotA team to feel discouraged in hopes they will continue doing their fantastic work
They've made a "historical" first ever mod with fan-made content which I approve (Note: I don't like mods). And that's really an accomplishment, especially because Heroes III is one of my all-time favorite games, and I'm extremely picky when it comes to it

Oh I see, Heroes_fanboy.
-*-*-
I really love how objects can blend flawlessly into each others during random map generation. It's a charm about random maps. However, sometimes you'll notice a sharp outline such as this example which stands out.
-Another picture of the same issue.
Notice how the left side blends flawlessly into the mountain, but also notice how that the right side has a sharp outline. It seems to be a 'thing' with School of War and possibly other objects.
Example of a flawless blend. Trees and mountains.

Hopefully, and I certainly don't think they do, they don't see such feedback in such a way. They do thank people for reporting smaller issues. Most people that bother reporting really care about HotA and just show interests by reporting.

I think I know what the problem is (mainmenu.pcx in hota.lod). we'll fix it in 1.3.3

BTW It's impressive how after so many years HIII graphics are still that pretty.
Horn of the Abyss shows how much potential still resides in this game.
One of the fans of HIII has put it nicely in his HotA video review (a mod actually got a video review on quite a popular gaming site). It goes sth like this: "People at Ubisoft should hire these (HotA crew) guys to make more expansions like HotA for Heroes III, instead of doing another Heroes game. It would be sufficient enough for me." The same goes for me...

@ hippox89: those are just graphics glitches, it happens when one object is lower than the other, when they are stacked on one another. i think the game reads objects from left/top to right/bottom, or vice versa, hence the blending on one side, and the straight edge on the other.

I have already expressed my opinion here that although I like the general mood of the Cove puzzle map, it might still be polished a bit.
Compare for instance this wyvern and the creature from the Cove puzzle map. The wyvern is more detailed, and the Cove creature is actually made of giant spots:

Ah, okay, thanks. I'm fine with that. It's good to know and then you accept it.

If you guys plan to fix some game flaws, would be highly appreciated if you manage to fix the following things, and then we can also apply it to the other executables, as wog and era:
a) moving >32500 creatures bug, they vanish
b) Create an experience cap at 108 (don't allow more) and optionally fix the ghost levels between 74 and 108.
c) Create primary skills cap at 125 and display their real value, as era does.
Those are things which ruined thousands players game-play over years and I practically lost hope to see them fixed one day. Maybe now if you can.

Well ok, but HoTA is playable right now, so why not have both. Btw, I didn't check lately how they work in VCMI, I suppose no creature limit for moving around, as for resources data, but skills and levels, what you did? A cap or unlimited?

The buyscreen is hanging inside the raw material table and cover some value, not totally but a bit irritate.
So my question is: Can you put a bit upper the buyscreen board?

15 years later Heroes 3 is still the best *Heroes* game ever created - and this situation is not going to change anytime soon (if ever).
Also, HOTA > All Ubisoft games combined together.
