It did not shock me, it actually matches the town's theme (Regnan Empire, Empire of the Endless Ocean)...
If you think about another popular town option "Forge Town" which includes futuristic type creatures this one pirate owning a gun isn't out of the ordinary at all

Uncertain, Part of HotA team is involved in the HD mod and this could be a reason for the delay.
I have also been checking the Russian forum (thanks google translate ) but they haven't posted any news whatsoever...

Yeah, according to the bugfixes and releases for HD Mod, I'm very positive, that HotA is missing their maincoder baratorch for some time now but I'm uncertain if this is the mainproblem. In the past I worked on some projects myself, every time something else lacks. I was part of a lil coding firm in the past but even there the was no deadlines, no useful structured timeframes, no project management but they even got something done and the company still exists (after 15 years now), with ~10-20 ppl but still it was mega unproductive every coder got his own style and searching for bug was a nightmare. I also worked on a lil freeware game and we got lots of problem with the style/graphics 'coz we couldnt find good ppl for that. At some projects I did the balance and icon graphics and we lacked a coder. Another mod for a game I did the graphics but the hardcode was super chunky and we couldn't change it much (good old DOS)

Thank you for this great expansion. I have a question.
We are playing 4-6 players using online lobby. When a player gets defeated game stops. Is there a solution for that?

Also as you know when a player quits, a computer does not take its place. Its being annoying to not continue the game. It does when you play lan with tcp/ip



A little configuration on multiplaying would improve this beautiful expansion a lot i think.
-H3 complete with hota 1.4.6  + heroes  hd

It would be great if we could replace leaving player with AI in password-protected games.

Yeah, where have they all gone off to?  
I don't mind waiting another 3-5 months, just some information would be nice. It's hard getting no information at all.

Other stuff... If I watch my life actually -> I work from 9 in the morning 'til at least 9 in the night. With maybe 1 hour break 6 days a week, learning, doing projects. I don't have time for anything else actually. I guess I'm not the only one.

I may have tons of knowledge about project management and how to plan and coordinate things but without any detailed information I can't guess much.

This was the last quote to this matter. You have to define "slowly". In the context of this my guess is -> there a compatiblity issues with the new map generation/specification editor and the online-lobby. My second guess is, only one person may fix this and have the knowledge about this stuff, thats Baratoch. Next assumption is, the complexity is quite big now and lots of stuff needs to be tested an corrolated, every implementation to a more or less unknown system (hardcode) in case of addition to involved databases is always a risk to snow up something essential, 'coz the disassembeling takes some time and assumption what the variables are for my be wrong/decrypted or even do something else or cause a simultanous changes that aren't planned or even worse... may cause a big clusterf*ck. Also: at a certain amount of code and implementation you'll reach a limits in the hardcode. In case of good old DOS-Games thats the variable 256 in most case. 2^8 to be precise -> 1 Byte. Meaning: when you want to expand Items that are limited to that amount of possible 0 and 1 states (256 in total while 00000000 = no item -> 255) you can't expand it without rewriting everything. In case of HotA it's a miracle to me how they did the actual expansion at all. While some objects are easy to implement like new objects for map editor coz they are extern and seperated from the code, other things are much harder to implement like new heroes, new towns and stuff. As for the lobby itself you need to know ton about old and crappy IPX/SPX protocols and how to convert them to TCP/IP, even more you need to get it save to use and to a certain degree hack- and editproof. This again leeds to other topics like decryption or other measures how to keep your system save. Most of it... -> it's needs a snowing big amount of time to implement, testing and hours of despair. Give them time... even if it's hard, imho it's worth it... and I know how hard it is to get some sh*t done, when your system is limited.

Thanks for the tech talk, I am also very impressed by what they have done with HotA so far. But right now I just wanna hear something directly from them.
Honestly I don't care about online, simultaneus turns or a template editor, but I guess other people do.
What I would like is new map objects, more snowcovered map objects, new hero models on adventure map, flags on abandoned mines, new artifacts and combo artifacts, new heroes and perhaps new spells and finally for them to balance Cove. Some time in a far away future an 11th town would also be awesome, I would prefer a desert town or perhaps an ice-themed town.

Nope, since there aren't full pictures available at all afaik. Somewhere in this thread it already was requested, the answer was that these pictures were drawn for the actual use only so there is always the gap in the middle. Can't find the post.

I have found a bug with the mechanic that allows you to shoot where you want as lich/magog. I don't know if this is a mechanic made by Hota or HD Mod, I hope this is right.

I used the sport where my vampire lords where at as a target so i could hit three nixes around.
But I also damaged my vampires by doing so. Seems like it detected it as a direct attack on my own vampire lords.
