In short: because these concepts were independent concepts of former HotA Team members.

Watching old hota beta screens, you can see they had dozens concepts and ideas. They chose the best of them.

I just checked them up.

I like the cathedral, the idea is good, the 500 gold per day building is interesting, but the units look bootleg.

Kronwerk is a great concept idea, but it also looks bootleg.

Although they must have been completed a while back they still aren't as polished as the cove, and the Factory will probably be much more polished then both of these previous towns.

Those screenshots showing Kronverk/Cathedral units (units only!) are >10 years old and are mostly mockups (not based on finished models etc.).

Ok bro i agree with you, they can be polished. If they get proper polishing both could work very well in the game.

I would also say i like the feel of the Cathedral it would fit very well in the game.

This is just plainly not true. The FAQ explicitly states that those old concepts have not been abandoned: http://h3hota.com/en/faq#14 There is no active work going on them, but the possibility of adding them in the future was never ruled out. This doesn't guarantee their future introduction at all, but one would be wrong to consider them outright rejected.

This is also incorrect. The concepts were created by the very same people who now participate in the creation of the Factory. Both Kronwerk and Cathedral in all their many variations were primarily created by myself, Alex-ander and Agar, and we're all still on board.

This is nice . The dwarves with proper implementation would be cool (on a side note, is it possible to lower the cost of a Titan to that of a Blackie, for balance?).

Is there any chance you telling us even a tiny bit of what we could expect from the changes to the secondary skills in the future? Thanks. The problem is, however, that HotA campaigns replace the older ones (at least from what I understood on forums and in the files themselves), which would make such a project probably not worthy of doing. But I might be wrong.

Also, can we continue such conversations in HoMM 3: Horn of the Abyss - Ideas and Suggestions? Those with Kronwerk and Cathedral, I mean.

I have seen some mentions of - at some point - the original non-HOTA campaigns being brought in and updated, so there is reason to think it may happen eventually. Although there was also worrying talk about adjusting the difficulty of them upward to HOTA-tier in classic C&C modder syndrome (and perhaps not really realising that HOTA is big enough that there are people playing Heroes III for their first time getting recommended it).

So there are such campaigns (but not by HotA team, since he seemed to be asking them to update the campaigns). Foolhardy Waywardness really needed a redo.

Not quite true: Foolhardy Waywardness does, in fact, feature Regnans, presently represented by Stronghold.
