Maybe the launcher doesn't have permission to edit '_HD3_.ini'?.
There's a couple of things you can do.
1. Running the launcher as admin. (easiest)
2: Change the security settings of '_HD3_.ini'.
3. Copy the '_HD3_.ini' to the desktop and edit it, then copy it back (this is if you don't know how to change security settings of folders/files).
4. Copy HMM3 to x:\Games\ or similar. This way the game wont inherent the default security settings from 'Program Files (x86)' (I take it that your game is located in this folder).

-link removed (outdated), though not the actual video with its comments.
This is my first attempt to make a promotional video of HotA. It is meant as a teaser for getting new people interested and to give them an incentive to want to download and play HotA. I was also thinking about using the teaser to help promote HotA on Reddit when the 1.3.3 patch is out. My idea was to create a video lasting apox. 2 minutes, yet still managing to display a lot of the new content. There might be room for a little more content in the teaser, still. I can always change anything to something better if needed, too.
Please share your critique and help me make it better. I'm sure it can improve a lot. I captured the video footage with CBS and used Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.
The video is hidden = not public yet
Enjoy, hopefully

I mean the game resolution. Even if I go to fullscreen is small...I think you should chose a lower resolution for the vid.
Heck, if I were you I'd go directly with original resolution, and maybe show a shot of HD Mod (so you say it's HD mod compatible).

It's 1920x1080 internal, and I play at the same resolution. I guess you're just used to a lower resolution, but I do understand what you're saying, however, if you have a 16/9 monitor then you should be able to watch it just fine. There's really no perfect solution other than two videos with two different, internal resolutions. This is hires.
Edit: I'll add a description included something about HD mod. Maybe I'll add something in the video, too.

I second this, H3's in 1920x1080 is barely watchable (how can you play like that btw?). Otherwise nice video, it is great you are working on this !

Well, I suppose have good eyes and/or I'm used to it. It's looks fine to me, as said. I didn't honestly think it'd be an issue in fullscreen, but I might make another video that's more user friendly then if so many have issues watching it.

Yeah, nice video but small wouldn't be 1024x768 more user-friendly? It has a good ratio of quality to size. Not too small, not very big and not blurry at all.

I'm actually thinking 1280x720 to keep the widescreen aspect. It's a good balance, I feel. Most people have either a 16/9 or 16/10 display nowadays.

Incredible job in this mod you guys... Inspiring to say the least.
It's great to see such a timeless game being so fervently supported this far down the road. The attention to detail I think was the kicker for me... The entire add-on as a whole doesn't feel the least bit contrived. Everything from the hero's portraits to the town music to the idle battle animations feels authentic as though NWC just released a third expansion.
The countless bug fixes, graphical changes, tweaks and overall balancing also shows a lot of love and genuine passion for the game. You have nothing but my respect and my hours consumed playing H3 again haha
Speaking of town music... I can't offer much, and this may not be the right thread anyway, but if you guys or anybody else needs somebody to write a score for battle, in town, a campaign, etc... I can do it.

It's best not to go below 1181x664. Otherwise not all HD mod interface extensions can be used.

But that's neither 16:9 nor using full HD interface.
