I mean of course you should stick to your plans and have faith and confidence in your project, on the other hand it sounds like you really don't care what anyone thinks about HotA at all.
If you are not making HotA for the fans and you don't want money, why are you making HotA at all? What is the goal of the project?
I hope you at least read the "Ideas and suggestions" and "bugfixes" threads, might be some good things in there.

Remember that Docent is an artist, so technicially he's not making Hota just "for the fans." Or atleast that's not the truth entirely. If someone would only make this "for the fans", that persons motivations would start to fall when the sheer amount of negative feedback starts to pile up. Just by looking up the last few pages of this thread alone, even a handful of people cannot come to agreement of even slightest details. How are you going to please everyone? You're will not achieve that, so in order to do something like this for 10+ years without payment, another motivation than just fans alone is needed.

But to say that neither negative or positive feedback doesn't affect... it's a bit of a stretch. Old Resistance turned quite fast only optional after the community outcry.

The problem is that the community has not a unified vision, so they can't rely on us to take the difficult decisions like having two tier seven units in Factory. They are the authors, and they should be the ones that decide that for the better or for the worst.

Exactly this. Just look at the forums over the last week or so since the latest announcement and it's clear that people are divided. It's unfortunate but it happens in pretty much any community out there; you can't please everyone.

I have different feelings about Factory. The quality is very high, I like the idea of a more heroes3 atmosphere implementation of a technologicaly advaced faction in my opinion better than electric/laser forge style. I am very thankful to hota crew about this idea. But for me, some things doesnt make sense. I agree with some victorian-desert-steampunk style with some influence of far west, I like the midlets, the armadillo, and the dreadnoughts, I would prefer the headhunter more van helsing than slinger style. I cant place the current  flamethrower in my mind as a victorian/steampunk but as a 1950s route66 petrol station mechanics. I dont know much about the worms, I will have to wait till the presentation of the unit, so far I cant imagine how this unit align with the rest of units. I cant match the coatl with the faction neither, I think is a very good new unit, very good design and ability, i like the idea of an alternative unit but in my mind it match fortrest faction far better than what I already know about Factory.

First of all, I'd like to thank you Docent_Picolan and the whole HOTA team for doing all this, and for free. The project brought many players back to HOMM3, myself included.

It's obvious that not everyone will like new changes, but sometimes people act very unreasonably. Like someone here have already said, you can't please everyone. I myself agree that Couatl for example would look better in a Cove or Fortress swamp territory, but that's just an opinion and probably the history of the campaign will explain how the unit got to Factory. It's just one detail, it's not going to change the fact that I will still play Heroes.  

About the game, if I may use the fact that you're probably reading this, I have few questions.

1)When approximately will new town be up? Somewhere like 2 months or maybe closer to the New Year?

2) Are you planning to add new units for the old towns? As alternatives or similar to Cove's pirates?  

3) Is the 12th town still in plans or are you going to rest for a while after creating new faction?

4) Are you really planning to create different war machines for every town instead of a standard Catapult? I heard about this but I don't know if that's just a rumor.

Factory campaign cutscene: Couatl in the Jungle

After meeting the Couatls, it's time to see them in their natural habitat. The impenetrable jungle on the islands off the continent of Jadame is one of the few places where a Couatl can still be encountered - which means this is where the Factory campaign heroes will head to find and tame them. We have already posted an introductory video for mission 4, where you could see the warlock Kastore in his ship's cabin. Mission number 6, "Tarred and Feathered", will be dedicated to the Couatleian quest. This video will top the mission off.

Note that in the game, cutscenes are displayed with subtitles, narration, and background music. What you can see below is a "clean" video, in 200% resolution.

I meant that there was a day between the release of 1.5.2 and 1.5.3. The latter gave players access to "test version", which allowed players to still play with the classic resistance. It's very difficult for me to see this (fast) action as nothing but a reaction to the fanbase's "feedback."

Anyway, that Couatl video looks amazing! As there's usually more attention from creator side when news are being released, I try my luck with few questions I posted few pages back: ()

1) Does debuff spells like Slow and Curse work on Couatls when they're on their stace?
2) Can the invulnerability be Dispelled?

Congratulations, HotA Crew! The Coatls introductory video is great. I see that you get better and better each time.

I have two personal questions:

1) Will animated lakes return in the future? I know it's a minor feature, but I liked them, and I never understood why they disappeared.
2) Will there be some balance improvements in the other factions (or at least visual fixes, like the Conflux)?

The couatls does look really good in the jungle. I'm still a little concerned about balance and I'm not sure how they ended up in Factory though, but that will probably be explained in the campaign(s).

I'm sorry for my last couple of posts, I kinda regret I posted those.
Keep up the good work and I'll try to keep an open mind.

They are so cute The frame kinda looks like those M&M RPG's of old.

This single unit unit has changed my entire view of Factory. I mean the concept of the town was hit-n-miss with me, but now I want to play it very much thank you

What kind of question is this at all? I also have modded at least 22 games from good old dos era 'til actual unity games. All for free... and in my free time. And compared to other mods for other games HotA is damn well done and polished... Thats a 1 out of 100 projects in case of quality...

Anyway even when I don't agree to all points... of their releases it's still nice, has high quality and fits in case of graphics, animations and story. For me it's just a few points missing to be "perfect" (more spells, artifacts, rework for spells and secondaries and some new content for existing towns to balance them a lil more or add new features) thats it... but as Aciel already asked two of my questions I personally know some things won't happen.

A lot has changed from 120 new artifacts, 12 new spells, Kronverk and Cathedral, new war machines or comanders/town keepers. While Satyrs are ingame, same as Cove. Would be nice to read a new checklist what's comming, while I would guess it would be very vague anyway.
