I wouldn't be surprised if Bulwark did come out this year, but I also won't be surprised if it's next year instead. On one hand, it looks a lot more finished than Factory did on announcement, basically to the level that Factory was at in 2022-ish. On the other hand, the big thing that slowed Factory's release down was the campaign.

Total speculation on my part , I believe we are getting a mega artifact (sword of frost) like the horn of the abyss and a neutral creature (mermaid) that will come with new year patch.

Speculation:I also believe it because in essence Bulwark would be the final version of the Kronwerk project started in 2008 so I think it is almost finished, it won't take long if they resumed the final works in january

That would be cool, too bad artifacts like Armageddon's Blade and Horn of the Abyss are too powerful to be used in standard maps.

One thing that always gets me but that is a minor detail , is the new towns alignment.Bulwark I can see being neutral but cove could make a great case for being evil as they are a pirate town, as for factory it gives a vibe of benevolent inventors so they should be good.

It would be fantastic if Bulwark came out this year. HotA team works without making too many announcements, but we have never had that less information before a great Release. I think it would be very surprising. On the other hand it was said a few years ago that the development of the code for v1.7 will make it easier to implement new stuff. So let‘s hope

For me new town can wait. Some spell and skill(Balistics, First aid and Artillery mostly) balance would be nice . But I am happy with what we get. Beggars cannot be choosers

Factory are essentially capitalist wild west mercenaries and arms dealers and will sell their skills to the highest bidder. Cove are the same thing but on water - they will rob good or evil factions equally (or fight for them if hired).
Good vs evil here is just a political alignment and the neutral towns don't care about it. Fortress wants everyone to stay out of their swamp and Stronghold just wants to lift weights and fight people.

Thanks for new event.. I see "Present at difficulty level", you can choose Pawn, Knight, Rook, Queen or King.. I got an idea that is Pawn for none, Knight for 1, Rook for 2, Queen for 4, and King for 8, for example.. I'm not using Pawn, Knight and Rook.. So I need to update all my maps.. And then a new map for all different bonuses.. Thus an odd events that you never seen.. Interesting!

Factory has the added complication that normally the campaigns would be a potential guide on where the main associated polity would fall in terms of political alignment… but by the end of its campaign Factory's polity ends up splitting apart into 'would reasonably be Evil' and 'would reasonably be Good' polities neither of which can claim uncontested main status. Since a faction can't be both Good and Evil, subfactions aren't a thing in Heroes 3 and the strains that led to the split were there since the start, it all averages out as Neutral.

On one of the Q&As they did between Factory's release and Bulwark's announcement, Tevye said that Factory was culturally neutral since they put progress above morals. They have heroes like Agar and Wrathmont that are not good guys, but are still welcomed in for their minds.
I do wish that Bulwark was good and Cove was evil, though. Or at the very least, Bulwark was good and the next town could be evil. It bothers me so much that there are now 6 neutral factions and only 3 good and 3 evil.

Had same exact thought recently. I'm sure everyone's curious what HotA Crew has been cooking with Bulwark. They always seem to put a lot of thought into design.
Do you have any other hopes or predictions? A few of mine:
- Kobolds have 1-2 damage
- Argali have jousting bonus
- Shaman has either Stone Skin or a new spell
I'm also curious how they're going to design Snow Elves. I'm sure HotA Crew is aware that a lot of level 3 units are ranged (Wood/Grand Elves, Beholders/Evil Eyes, Orcs, Ice Elementals & Pirates) and they thought of a way to design Snow Elves so they still feel different.
For example, Elves, Orcs and Pirates all have 15 hp, so there's room there to give Snow Elves a more unique stat profile. Or a lot of them have either 3-5 or 3-7 damage ranges, so that's another opportunity.

Maybe it's just because they're holding spears, but I thought it'd be kind of interesting if they had no melee penalty but increased ranged penalty like the centaurs in H4. It would definitely reinforce their "hunker down, brute force them" thing.

One thing I hope they remove is the tusks on the upgraded yeti masks(redundant because of mammoths) but that is minor and add more fantastic elements to argali so far they have given them coloured fur and flashy eyes. We know mage guild is tier 4 . I was thinking the argalis would have a ramming option for siege walls no pun intended. If Bulwark is their last faction , they could go all out with neutral units like sphynx , werewolves , chimera(cathedral), grim reaper,lynworm and kraken maybe ?

Ok events, Pandora's boxes in present at difficulty level, thanks for listening us.. I made the Intellect World, in pawn and knight, you get a Slow, Haste, built a lvl 7 dwelling, resource bonuses, etc and then in king, you get none, and maximum Straker.. But in playing mind, thus stronger Clone, etc aren't in a map..
Remember keep the clean HotA, esp. mapeditor
