HotA files are no more encrypted. But I don`t think it help much to those who want to make changes - file fomat isn`t convinient to it.
HotA wasn`t declared as modable plathform, althrough some things can be changed, as in the original game.

Animation speed for cove creatures wasn`t set properly so far, it will be fixed in future. It is setted up with a very specific way in code, so I don`t think it can be easily changed by user now.
Soudns will be fixed too.

If you want to replace sounds, you may use HD-mod: create a directory in _HD3_Data/Packs, and put there sound files (but they should have extension .82m). Then by using HD-launcher you may add and remove this directory as pack for HD-mod. It will work with HotA sounds too.

Maybe you could look for voice actors here? Voices would really improve campaign intros' atmosphere.

Could you comment on my suggestions regarding the Cove puzzle map, please?

I think that, for instance, the Cove's town screen is perfect, but the puzzle map needs a bit of polishing.

Can you add a neutral town??? Maybe after Forge and Kronverk???

My idea would be(Also some changes in the Rampart, Dungeon and Conflux):

Neutral:
Lv-1:Halfling->Burglar*
Lv-2:Thief**->Rogue
Lv-3:Nomad->?????
Lv-4:Forest Guard***->Sharpshooter
Lv-5:Troll->War Troll(MM8 guy armored with Ramhead club)
Lv-6:?????->Enchanters
Lv-7:Silver Dragon****->Gold Dragon

*Hooded one from Hero of Light
**Like Rogue but no hood and 1 sword
***Like sharpshooter but without hood or cloak. Just black leather vest.
****White version of Gold Dragon

Rampart:
Lv-1:Pixie->Sprite
Lv-2:Satyr->Faun(since dwarves will be in Kronverk)
Lv-7:Firebird->Phoenix

Conflux:
Lv-1:Centaur->Centaur Captain
Lv-7:Crystal Dragon->Amethyst Dragon(The ones from MM8 that are in The Grove)

Dungeon
Lv-7: Green Dragon->Red Dragon->Black Dragon (Back to H2)

If you don`t want to wait a bugfix release, you may fix it with map editor (if it work on your system), there must be 84 days.

On your channel when I click Past Broadcasts I get no results...(Unlike Maretti's channel )

Tiny issues of the English version:

-Map Editor: Random Town Buildings menu contains untranslated/erroneous entries
-Orc/Orc Chieftan description lacks "no melee penalty" (or did you take it away? Didn't investigate.)
-Magic/Psy Elemental speed back on vanilla SoD value (maybe intended as well)
-Maybe change golems' description to "...damage to ...%" for clarification. Behemoth's description could use a "to" respectively.

-The speed is returned. There is an opinion that nerfing Firebird intrest and lowering external dwells probability will be enough
-Maybe "by" would be appropriate there... But idk, does it really matter?

Indeed, adding a "by" in the description it would make it more clear.

I took a look at the map editor and saw a lot of new stuff, from artifacts to creature banks, lots of water elements...just great! The magic shrines level 4 were a nice addition too

The only thing I kinda miss is new neutral creatures, but I hope we see some in future versions.

Firstly - Amazing work guys. 1.3 version looks splendid with all the new features.
I really like that you don't limit your work to adding new content only. I appreciate your courage on replacing certain graphics while doing it reasonably and professionally.
All the content is great, but when I launched your editor something suddenly struck me. I feel like there's something missing in HotA.

And this missing thing is new neutral units. HotA adds none. Don't get me wrong, I'm not this type of guy who just walks in and says "I want to see this, this and this unit in your addon".

I only have few questions:
Do you have any plans for adding neutral units to HotA?
If yes, do you have any ideas/concepts for neutral units and in which version we could expect them?
If no, I'd be very thankful to know why this aspect of addon was overlooked (e.g. lack of suitable graphics, lack of ideas, other priorities or simply you didn't think about neutral creatures).

I'm looking forward to your response.

hota options

Hi,
I'm curious about a few things.
HOTA looks fantastic. Very nice work.
I've been playing WOG for a long time & got spoiled on the options it has.
Questions:
#1 - Is there a options area I missed in HOTA?
#2 - No commanders?
#3 - Advanced Options , such as war machines, ect?
#4 - Double movement & town building twice per day?
#5 - Mithral enhancements?

I know this isn't WOG, but am curious if there a "options area" to tweek HOTA to my personal preferences.

As far as I'm concerned, none of those things are present in HotA. This addon is quite the opposite of the WoG.

So - no, there are no any WoG-style tweaks or options in HotA.
