Did you guys think about Kickstarter or some other crowdfunding s*it?
...
I don't think this would be a good idea. HoMM 3 is still being sold. But maybe HotA Team could think of PayPal/Bitcoin donations for something like "Everyone has to eat". This might actually work.
I'd love to see this become a regular job for them (they would probably like this as well).

not necessarily. 1.3.1 can be installed on 1.3.0
Good, I will install it now.
Hermetic said: While I try to use auto-update I get unexpected exception. Launcher succesfully loads update info and asks me if I want to download update or not. When I click yes I get the exception (it seems that exception gets raised while trying to parse int32 to string).
Exception raised : http://pastebin.com/maWHFAJa
EDIT : Forgot to mention that I tried to change system language to english and that I'm using heroes 3 complete version
That's the same exception I got.
Edit: Patching successful (just extracting the zip inside the game folder).

---BUG: New? Palm Trees block entry to nagabank in a RMG map. Bank was facing a mountain and some palm trees were added at the entrence blocking it.
---BU: There are some new trees that look like underwater weeds. Because they are tall they will hide an artifact one cell up of them.

Errors always happened during random generation in SoD and more so likely if there's higher density in the zone(s). I actually haven't noticed any RMG errors in HotA (yet), not even misplaced borderguards. I wonder if I have just been lucky so far, or if they actually fixed some of the most common errors in the RMG.
You can also find loot behind mountains without being able to actually see the loot. It never bothered me, though.

Yup, that happens in both the original Heroes 3 and Heroes 2 too.
You have to hover the cursor around the map (when it's over something pickable it changes of icon), for some that may be annoying though...

Warmonger said: I must tell that I like Ring of Oblivion very much, it's totally new effect with interesting strategical impact. It can be cool twist in a single-player scenario where players tend to rise entire army with resurection
This awesome artifact also interrupts Phoenixs' abilily to reborn
Also, Cape of Silence has plenty of great fixes to multiplayer - now Warrior Classes cant be good in Might AND Magic at the same time, when MassSlow, MassHaste and other 1lvl buffs are baned with this cape
It gives a little breath to Magic heroes.

- 100% creatures lvl 1-4 (90% lvl 1-2), generated.

I've been faithfully following the threads ever since begining and patiently waited until your AWESOME work was done. In the name of my family and friends [all Heroes3 addicted] : THANK you for all the Heroes2 cameos in game and for everything you've done for the community.
If you ever come to the UK it would be my pleasure to provide the treats.
Cheers

Finished the first campaign, so far so good!
Only 2 crashes in the whole campaign, both with the 1.3.0 version.

Second more in depth feedback on HOTA so far..
The game is amazing! All those small minor things like trees and artifacts and new creatures are very noticable! And the cove town is feels so lore friendly! And it is so refined as much as if its done by original devs themselfs.. High quality standards guys!
p.s. i notice like 1crash every 5hours which easily solvable by reloading autosave. So i have to say it doesnt have any game breaking bugs.
By the way - I really like those single player scenarios! Im even more interested in cove city lore and its heroes much more than armagedons blades lore and its on par with heroes chronicles lore.
On another note, those other unfinished towns looks so out of place and totally not lore friendly.. I have no idea how you will make it as good as cove town. Seriously i have no idea how..

This is also my impression, HOTA looks and feels like it was done by professional developers from New World Computing (the original creators of Heroes 3).

There are only two unfinished towns that look similar - in terms of graphics, animations and lore friendliness - to Cove. Namely, the Cathedral and Kronwerk. I really hope to see them in the future.

Bastion isn't part of HotA.
IIRC the next town'd be Forge, and it isn't in the near future so...

Thank You for doing this!!!
Some simple Questions:
1.Could you make The Hota compatible with the Wog mod?Do you have plans?
2.Can we receive an ETA on the next Towns?

Was it possible to "shift+click" automatically divide forces in towns before HotA? If not this is a great little thingy, especially when making the "divide your small defense force (like 7 gremlins) to maximize tower dmg while in siege" strategy
