Launching HotA gave me an instant BSOD.

This was after playing normal SoD.

After the PC resetting I could play HotA normally again.

Win 7 x64

I would look into this since a total computer crash is pretty serious. A lot more than a simple app crash. I dont remember any Heroes game ever doing this to me.

Maybe HOTA recognized you as veteran player and your victory wasn't decisive...or you did break to desert one day too late or didn't have enough high stats/level in the last day...

HotA Map Editor Bug

I just noticed some very annoying bug that happened after 1.5.3 update. The Gem Ponds on sand terrain are now considered Gold Mines on map editor.And it looks like [url=https://imgur.com/0IGyrec]THIS[/url]

Not only it is named such, but also it is treated as such during gameplay. Is HotA team going to fix it?

I don't know if we can consider this a bug, but it's something that ruins the AI:

HotA introduced a new war machine the cannon, I guess AI is set up to prefer cannon to ballista, but what about ballista specialists?, they should always have a ballista and not a cannon.
Still the AI runs around with cannon when it specialises in ballista, which means it get no bonus.

A good solution would be that ballista specialists also specialise in cannon (and Jeremy also specialise in ballista) or to remove the cannon completely and give Cove a ballista instead.
I would prefer the first choice.

Ballista specialisation bonus is negligible. Of course, both human and AI should prefer cannon. You can make calculation of damage yourself to ensure.

I have one more bug to report, it's an original game bug, but it would be nice if you can fix it anyway.

When in siege and the drawbridge is broken and you try to cast Force Field where the bridge was, the Force Field is somehow not registered and creatures are able to pass right through it.

Speaking of original game bugs, I'd call all that Luna-ing vs AI exploiting a bug.
Is there something which can be done about it?

AI should generally try to avoid the fire wall if it is a suicidical move. Just the way how 2-hex creatures wait instead of jumping into the fire.

Otherwise the fire wall could be made invisible to any opponent, similar to Quick Sand.

I have 3 things to report this time, they may or may not be considered bugs, but I think it would be nice if you could fix them.

1) Make creatures that cast spells, Ogre Mages, Master Genies, elementals, Archangels, Satyrs and Leprechauns able to cast spells on themselves. It would make for more strategic combat possibilities and also make heroes who specialise in those creatures better. (Also make it work for AI.)

2) Morale and Luck effects of angels, devils and bone dragons and mana effects of mages and pegasi persists even after the creatures are slain, this should be corrected.

3) Master Genies should not cast Slayer, when the level 7's they where facing are already dead. (I don't really like that they can cast Anti-Magic and Frenzy either, but I guess those are intended features.)

This is just the luck of the draw, really. You just can't predict what you'll get, so it might just be useless. I see nothing wrong with this, to be honest.

master genies should cast haste or prayer when our units are slow. Then precision when on archers and fire shield if stack is surrounded. This way you keep randomness and Phoenix is happy.
