I can finally play a Kelthor enrage deck with warchanters, firebolt, sacrificial altar and no vultures  Feels like the good old times except you also have Zefiria and bs crushers to help with magic-heavy opponents.

Sahaar brutes plus spells kinda made that deck obsolete. You had no reason to go for dreamwalkers + chanters but now you also get stormrage hunters and warriors with enrage. Fairly durable too. The hunters are not that great but this deck is easy on stats and while they don't get enrage counters for fallen allies they do with chanters. Now if I also got a pao warchief..

just spent my million gold on hon packs, got 4 of all cards now with 3 exceptions: only have 2 Lotus Empire Guard; and also I miss 1 vampire assassin and 1 abyssal worm from previous expansions; also I have no bs2 cards (burned them all) since I see no use in having 8 of some cards and 2 of some uniques so although from all other sets I'm at full at bs2 I have a big 0.

@Watcher: on Cass, that's why we don't play open anymore....and careful getting rid of your BS2 cards, who knows in future those BS1 cards might become redundant, hence the new achievements to get BS2 cards (which is stupid in itself - but cunning for future).
EDIT: Hey, I can't seem to play a Swiss or JP with Standard deck....it's either weekly or open? Is this true?

Nope, was open swiss. Is there ever Standard Swiss?
Just an observation if you all haven't picked up yet:
Upon entering a duel, if your resource count says 1 at the top, then opponent goes first. If your resource count says 0, then you go first...

Each day there is one of 3 formats, these 3 go in a circle, and switch at 14:00 PM (CEST). So wait a few minutes, standard swiss should be today.
Edit: Looks like I was wrong, JP is on standard...

Is there ever gonna be a weekly with rare epics and uniques only? That would be cool.
I would go for a Cass with 2 Anaels, Eleonore, new Zefiria, wolf captains, Griffin battle priests, 4 angels of salvation the 2 unique spells etc.

I am not sure everyone will be able to make a deck of rare/epics only. Most of us with 4 x all cards can, but would not be viable.
So far we have seen weekly for commons only and BS2 only decks. Wonder what else there is? Uncommons. Void rising only. etc.

Nobody is playing swiss weekly, need it for my daily quests, so I made an Akane a deck (creatures+spells) but I've been waiting for 30 mins and is still 1/8 players

Yay... and I'm waiting 3+ days to play a standard swiss.
To be honest, as much as weekly formats look fresh, they kill the tournament section for few reasons: 1: Not many people play them/want to invest time into building such a deck. 2: It takes to long for other formats, that people would like to play, too long to appear. If you, like to play standard swiss, you have to wait for 3 days, for your desired format even to appear. That's only 2 options to play your format in a week, and more then often, these will collide with your other plans (trip, family, work, date.... you name it).
Swiss is my favorite format, you can face interesting decks, and a win cards. But the game just won't let me play it. I got so board I actuall played JP just because it was in my format (I should tick to ladder)

After a loooong wait managed to play 2 swiss weekly, won both of them easy, I've never realized Akane is so damn strong with bs2 cards only.

Ariana as well (esp with Banshees) is great for BS2 only decks...
@Dave: agree with you 100%. Before you used to be able to play a swiss every other day, now too many formats (although refreshing and cool) make it difficult to play a particular format in a week.
I am still waiting for a standard swiss but have either been working or offline, so have missed it. Propbably only once a week hey?

I've been watching the first 2 weeks in the docteamleague tournament, and today is the 3rd week. I am pleased to see that they still play on open format, but I must say I find some picks unexpected, also props to Nilicomes and UmbrellaSpirit for going with unconventional heroes when most chose Gazal/Cassandra.

I am enjoying an immolation variant of Asalah, that hero was made for that build I've seen and even tried variations of that build with other heroes but there was always missing something. She seems to be covered from all angles, by no means unbeatable but she has great potential. I think the most annoying variant I've faced was Shaar with plants, bs crushers and might of nature.

Akane a with tower of the elders, scholars, djinns, Nur and both gargoyles is pain also for immolation (met one as I was playing Shaar immolation before this expansion)

Well you have to be playing with Academy...or have dispel magic, otherwise it's quite good, no?
I must say playing in JP yesterday with "Necro cards only" as weekly event was insane! It's all about your hand and who's lucky starting off the blocks...although I came up against a weakness/wither/moonsilk full deck then with graveyard clearing and nether curses on board, it was a long battle lost!
