It is the death chamber, no?

@Hobbit: Dunno, I must combine again  the 120 layers to see. I thought first to show the complete, when you stare at it it is annoying probably. Maybe in game not so annoying.

What if the coin is static and be leaned against the wall like 1000 kg object? Or without the coin in the worst case, but then I treat the object as some temple, not greedy bank )

First Death Chamber seems to outweigh the second.

I think Palace of Dreams is more of a positive building, while this one clearly looks like it belongs to something evil. Witchcraft, Dungeon or Fortress related maybe..

I would try this as base work for Palace of dream. Maybe some fireworks around. Kremlin is a nice humor touch.

It can be a bank of Fanatics, guarded by peasants

IMO, Palace of Dreams is quite positive, elvish theme, magic, warm lights, no?

It looks rather as temple without the coins. Dunno, I may try several versions to see. Death chamber is a big better but is the best suggestive graphic I found. And I tried a lot.

Not typical of a Heroes 3 building but the rotating coin doesn't bother me. Bank is also an unusual building with a unique function, anyway.

There are already continuous rotation objects, as Hydra Chaos pool. If you stare at it, it surely annoying, but once in game I didn't hear anyone complaining. You will have what, 2 banks per map.

Added link to objects mod in main thread.

Hey, what happened to Fred's castle? It turned so dark I cannot recognize the windows and bricks in it.

that's not my version, that's the old bank. i can upload it, if you want, orzie, since you're the only one besides myself that liked it.

Salamandre said:
Fred never uploaded his modifications.

are you really surprised? no one but orzie and myself liked it, and no one asked me to upload it...

btw, i like the new bank idea that artu came up with, and you improved on, sal. in order to make it look more HoMM3-related, you might have to work on it, though. the hard edges suggest more of a HoMM2-graphic than HoMM3.

I have tried to build from scratch a 3d replacement for that weird dungeon-blacksmith map object. However I didn't get the right lighting/texture, a little help would be appreciated.

there's plenty of textures out there, lw. as for the shading, you just need to increase the contrast slightly, and decrease the brightness a fraction at the same time, until you achieve the proper appearance.

The textures (dds, tga) for 3D objects are different from what we call "textures". And in Heroes the light comes from south-east, watch out your object. For right inclination, use a pic of adventure map as map in render, so you can place your object virtually on it and play with until it looks ok.

I have only two potential objects for Palace of Dreams.

The plans are to add multicolor fireworks around. Once I decide which, if any. The left one has bad angle but better contrast

you can just increase the contrast on the right one, which i think is better looking than the one on the left. as for fireworks, are you going to have a source for them to be coming from? or are you just going to be having them all around the building?

No idea, once I have them I will test different angles. The thing is that the right one I already increased contrast and exposure by 70%!

it just needs sharpened a little, then. simple fix.

also, when sharpening, you have to be careful when off-color pixels show up. if you see them, you can find them all by selecting a color, and turning the saturation on that color up to max to find the ones that throw the def off, that way, you can easily recolor(rehue) them to the proper color, before turning the saturation back down to normal.

of course, on that object, that could be a little difficult, as it is already multi-colored...

Can you work a bit on this, then I add fireworks and entrance on result?

Kremlin.psd

I am bad at static kitchen. It has also a few holes due to removing background, needs manually to fill the holes. No rush, when you have time. Thanks a lot.

Sweet man, now some careful polishment can help. Perhaps Fred can give a proper advice like he did in the Romanian town thread.
I wonder if you intend this perspective to be used, or it's just for demonstration.
