Armageddons Blade Maps
Im trying to track the original AB maps made in early 2000. All maps currently found date back to 2005ish and the problem im running into is Yahoo has archived maps but they are not accessible. Does anyone else know of a site that has all AB maps ever made?

why original maps, you could simply play normal difficulty maps made by users, they are more fun with interesting storylines...  grin

I want to play user made maps, the problem is there has only been 1 that has ever given me a challenge and I cant remember the name but remember the scenario and no one seems to know this map and it sucks. Map was XL impossible with 7 or 8. All towns start above ground on outter ring of map with underground attached for each town to progress.
Usually took about 2 to 3 months in game time before you can build an army strong enough to take out gaurds at gate to move inner.
The inside of the map has tons of dragon utopias, unclaimed towns, halls of enlightenment all on cursed ground like a ring leading to the center of the board which has your main hero with a huge army behind a boarder guard waiting for you to reach him and free him.
I remember it being an AB map because once you reach the center to free your hero there is a Armageddon Blade sitting there for you to start owning.
There was lots of faerie dragons to defeat. Probably one of the hardest and fun maps I have ever played. To me nothing has been such a challenge and fun to try, even if I lost.
If you know this map I will def give you major props.
Its why I was hoping I could find an archive system to look through of AB, only thing I figure to find it.

That site takes you eventually to the yahoo byte site and although it shows files there im unable to access them even if I am logged on and registered. Any suggestions with that?

If anyone can tell me how to reach these 2 ppl I would appreciate it, this map is the only one I have been seeking to play, only map that has ever given me a challenge. Others telling me the challenge is beating 4000 arch angels or something, that is a challenge but that is not the point of the map, its constantly having tough battles and strategy that make me happy. Killing a main boss and only 1 that has infinite number of creatures isn't a challenge to me, challenge is getting to the boss and having fun.

The problem is u don't know the name of the map.
I've even tryied to look for it now and then in the last few days, cause it looks interesting to me too.

Tried emailing Bytebandit and that was a bust. If anyone happens to know how to access the Archive 2 on yahoo.groups for AB maps M-Z i would be open to suggestions. Dont fully understanding why i can look at A-L but not M-Z.

Well, the day I send you the address I could access both and today I also can't access the second so probably is a server's problem.
I hope it gets fix on it's own cause I'm not sure if ByteBandit is still interested in Heroes 3 and HC...

I also use this link and today, just to test, I downloaded a map.
I'm registed in the Yahoo groups but if u can download the other maps and not this ones I don't believe is because of that.

Bloodsucker i believe i found the map, sounds about right storyline but at work and unable open map on these comps. The map is called The tale of the mighty. Check it out, you want a challenge that is a good one.

It's an impossible map with heroes imprisoned and lots of special dragons.
This is part of the introduction:
"You have to rescue your hero and defeat the dragons, if you can ..."
So, I guess u r right. This is the map you were looking for.
Didn't found any maps from the author (SCORPIONXI) neither in Maps4Heroes nor in Celestial Heavens so it looks like the maker of your favorite map was not a proficous one.
