the easiest way is to use wog and make it normal map with ERM made with the wog map editor. at least that's how i know to.
ERM help contains tutorials on ERM and also how to use it in maps, it's available in the help folder in the game directory.

You must create a path like this ... Era Folder\Mods\YourModName\data\s
in the s folder you put the erm files...
If u are trying to create your own features you will have to learn ERM.
If u just want to port something u saw in one map to another just doing this can work on is own. I've created a mod for both Second Henchmen and Palace of Dreams from The Dragon Slayer and they don't give me any problems but can easly not work by several reasons, namely scripts using the same variables, objects or trigers.
