Basher felt kinda useless compared to other items. Also, I didn't really know what to buy, and Scepter looked like a nice ult upgrade and stat increase. If you watched the match, there is a very epic scene in the end where I had like 70 health and was about to die, when the game ended, which made me not die.
Also, most people upgrade Basher to Abyssal Blade, so yeah, there are some cases it won't make it to the final build.

Critical instead of Aghanim, all the way. Lifesteal will keep you alive, along with BKB and/or Blademail. Vladimir can be replaced with Satanic, but that's pretty much optional until the late game when you'll need that strength boost and increased lifesteal.

Need that strength boost? Bro, I had like 170 strength with armlet on, which, with my HoT, I can use indefinetely unless attacked. As for Satanic, by the time I realised it, it was too late, and I didn't have time to come up with the money to get one.
I didn't get BKB because no-one served a major threat when it came to spellcasting, excluding Venomancer, which, with my high HP and HP regen didn't do much. I admit though, it was a mistake not getting blademail...

I sure do remember it. And I'm sure play DotA Imba at the moment on Reborn and it's absolutely awesome. Frankfurt major qualifiers were a blast, with Alliance making a comeback to the scene, hope they last. Former champions Newbee and IG have also qualified, and the final 16 teams look like this - Link. Think it's worth mentioning that I haven't bought the Fall compendium this time around due to Valve's ridiculous marketing policies for in-game items.

I used to play it, now I just focus on HOMM3.
I'm a "few games player", don't like to focus on many games to develop skill in those precise ones.
Besides, haven't had much time to play lately.

Tons of new metas, new map changes, new team fight potentials. And finally that annoying hero was added. I'm starting to build some expectation for when a completely original hero is made for Dota 2, one that's not in the likes of the old Dota. Just Pit Lord to go now, and then, new stuff.
Hm, Chen is going to have a holiday now that creeps have such an arsenal of stuff to do. That Dragon have its own Macropyre.

I'm just out of a HOT game! If you wanna have a look, match ID is 2080817621
It was hard, but epic, although we lost. I couldn't get any farm at the beginning due to a lot of harrassment, so I decided to get the safest possible farm. While it made things slow, I could actually get some money, XP, and it kept me alive wayyy more.
I continued playing like a coward, building my items slowly, then the fun started after I got the Linken Sphere and Blink Dagger(which were the third last, before I decided I need a better escape mechanism, so I got Silver Edge and Boots of Travel)
We pushed back and forth, waited for the enemy, and the enemy waited for us(basically, a lot of time got spent for NOTHING). There were some epic encounters, but the real reason we lost is because of some mistakes we made, which made them get money, have the chance to get on our doorstep, and slaughter us.

That's a really weird Faceless Void build you got there. Did things change that much since I left? Cuz I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy a blink dagger and a silver edge while other items could suit me better. I can see the idea behind the linkens but I'd still opt for a bkb instead.

Well, my uber-nerfed Time Walk(flat 625 unit tp) wasn't much of an escape. So I had to get something. And in other news, this is my first time ever getting 0 deaths.
We kicked the enemy team's @$$.
The closest I got to 0 deaths was a very old(from 2013 I think?) Doom game, having 1 death. Although the game got kinda spoiled because THREE guys of the enemy abandoned, so I just camped at the enemy's base with Centaur and someone else and killed anybody that got out of the fountain, all while destroying the towers, and the ancient.
