I feel like just having a radiance on your team is becoming more efficient with the miss chance aura and the fact that nearly everyone gets blink dagger, so it's nice to have something to stop enemies from blinking away.
I love getting on Phoenix though, so much DPS when using supernova

I always go for radiance if playing Lifestealer, provided I don't get any unwanted visitors to my woods.
Helps a lot in the teamfights later in the game as it can effectively nullify enemy's HP regen and prevent them from blinking away. Also, it's very good to have for chasing.
But Shaker... Man, I actually have to congratulate him on being able to actually make HoT in this game.
GG Mort and Slark. It would've been a miracle if you lost the game in the end.

You guys haven't been paying attention on the high level pro DotA lately, have you?
Radiance on Lifestealer is made because of his new ability to control creeps that he infested, which also includes Ancient creeps... since the patch he can enter them as well. So you make Radiance as fast as you can and enter Ancient Granite Golem or Black Dragon, you have way too much HP for them to be able to handle you easily, you have complete magic immunity while your auras(Radiance included) are still working.
You are basically walking them to death with Ancients since they can't do anything to you at all but run... and you are faster than them so...

At its best, clowny, at its worst, game losing. If a team does not automatically forfeit one lane due to one person jungling, then they either heavily outdrafted the enemy team or the meta is completely broken. Noteworthy in that video is that infesting the ancient so early was the real problem, not Radiance. It feels bullsnow and it can definitely lose you the game, which is exactly what happened in Herry's case.

The Infest change was introduced in .85 and Loda was the one to popularize it if you wanna call it that.
Still going for a Niax jungler is risky stuff and you wont see many teams go for it even if the meta currently is all about pushing in towers fast.

Stevie it is DotA, everything is risky here... Every jungler is risky and you see a lot of junglers in pubs. It isn't clowny at its best lol, it destroys enemy team completely. You realize that you don't need Radiance from the start and that Naix can have ulti at 6th or 7th minute and then you are a freaking Ancient immune to magic and all your enemies can do is hit you... for like 10 minutes lol. You are turning into a raid boss.
There is a reason teams have been trying this even on top level, it is not just "hey let's just screw a little with them".
Yeah, LodA first tried that in a pro game and failed miserably since his Naix was shut down hard, and also was safe lane instead of jungle, which is bad in my opinion because Naix should be there with Ancient to create space and buy time for a real(or second) carry.

Well, his plan wasn't exactly working either, for these reasons:
-Even though I myself relied on magical damage and target spells mostly, you can still use physical damage(which the snake ward does), and my friends(PA and Slark) where exactly that: physical carries.
-As said above, I could still easily kill the ancient with my ult, use CC on him and wait for my friends to get into the fight.
Also, you are kind of underestimating the right-click...
Anyways, we were kind of losing at the beginning, but in the new meta, it feels way easier to throw/save games.
Shame I couldn't finish my build(I was trying to finish it with a Scepter, the ult damage would've been devastating).

I am pretty sure that he just didn't play it optimally at all. 
Wards kill Ancients that actually attack them, he can just run away, you can't CC him unless you have guys with Bashers in your team. Ancients are weak in the mid/late game, but in first 15 - 20 minutes you can't do anything against them.

Last game:
The game was unwinnable. Dumb little PA didn't know how to carry(I don't even know why these scrubs think they can carry), or even farm, and Troll didn't have space to farm or get gold safely. I'm not sure how his farm was in the early game, but we all had it rough.
I managed to get a Godlike streak, but overfed little Legion Commander with 288 bonus damage got me. Basically, there was no way we could have won.

Been getting back into this lately with my roommate. Really hate a lot of the changes this game has had. I blame valve trying to become more like the other moba games out there. Why is blink so easy to get/use and why is it such a must have on nearly every hero....
The days of creating your own build for heroes is long gone sadly. At this point it's mostly just fond memories of dota 1 days that keep me playing. And where the flippitty flopping flop is the snowing pit lord. Who the snow is this arc warden and why is he here? Hey this guy can buy hand of Midas and use it like crazy....yeah great, boring, and stupid. I hate hand of Midas with a burning passion just like I hate alchemist. Heroes that can get farmed fast should be reworked or removed
