Your first post was brilliant Freddie, keep 'em coming please.

JJ I think you misunderstood me.  And maybe the word chauvinistic was a bit too harsh.

What I am trying to get at (and probably failing miserably) - is there male pride in a guy getting his partner pregnant.  Like it proves his potency??  (Not including horny squirrels and their litters ).  And if there is - why??

I mean hypothetically - if men had to give birth via their rectum (sorry about language).  You know 48 hour labor, gas/air, epidurals, tearing.  Would that change your opinion on having children??  Because now its your body that is being used?  Your input now is longer than a few seconds.  You have to carry the child and give birth.

i used to think it would be a good idea to have a kid; somebody i could meld in my likeness, somebody that i could teach all of the stuff i've already learned, so that they could be further along in understanding(if that's the right word?). they could be a more advanced and effective version of myself, or so i thought.

so is having children only about strenghtening your own ego?

Everything is about your own ego.

A WUT?! Slobbering?! That's a terribad way of puttin it. I can't believe you seriously think that liking a girl is your class is wrong, even in kindergarten. But it shed some light on the "why" of your current situation, at least to me.

And I still don't get why you consider not procreating a failure. It's interesting tho how many pplz think that way.

Your expectations!! They're soo high.

Anyway, you often see guys congratulating a dad after his wife gives birth, and it's somewhat odd, because he didn't really do anything..

But I guess it may be because he's about to go through some highly life improving stage, either for himself, for his family or both.. but I'm really not sure.

People can congratulate you for winning the lottery. It's not necessarily about how much effort you put in it.

Sure, but I find those who congratulate you with such winnings are also those who think they might have a chance at getting something out of it themselves..

My current situation is a work in progress. Not so bad at the moment.

On the other hand, I find strange you defend here with "think that liking a girl is your class" cause you didn't deny it when me, Tzar-Ivor and some others understood that you fantasize about children in the present.

I had my first kiss when I was seven with a girl in my class and had some other interresting experiences while growing up but after I became an adult I'd only dated adult women and I really think this is how it is supose to be.
I consider myself very open minded but zoophilia, pedophilia and phisical abuse are things I think that fall into the sexual disturbs and criminal behaviour.

probably, at least for some guys. it seems that some guys, talking about a girl they find attractive, say they would like to make her a baby, the same way they would say they just want to bang her.

Something is fundamentally wrong with you Meroe.

It is your evolutionary duty and your duty to your family and heritage to breed. It is your duty to breed so that there may be a future generation to take care of you once you grow old and tired so that other peoples kids don't have to do it. (Adopting or in other ways supporting children works too in this sense).

Now you may not feel ready, you may already have alot of kids around you, you may not have the funds or oppurtunity to raise a kid. That's a bit different. But to have no desire at all at any time in history is just perplexing.

May I take some wild guesses:
You're working or studying to work in an middle-class/upper-middle class line of work but you're not running your own business.

Your career and/or social life may demand alot of you.

You do not have relations with a large portion of your family I.E.: Your wedding or your future wedding if ever will include (many) more friends than family members unless you plan to have a really small wedding.

You live in the city.

So if I don't deny it then it's true. Much logic.

Ahem..... But why?

Oh, and you didn't include rape, incest and necrophilia. That means you agree with them!

Stevie said:

Probably is not logical at all. I'm assuming that if someone was misreading me in a way they felt ultraged with I would try to clarify my point of view. Rape falls in physical abuse and I forgot necrophilia and incest because I don't find myself thinking about that too often. Do you?

lol, alright. I'm always amazed at these things. Like in the Ukraine thread. Pictures of dead, burned and what seemed preagnant women weren't removed but mutually acceptable insults were. (Not my own posts but between other posters).

Well pedophilia is just a sexual preference. The evil thing is to actually rape a child, or indirectly supporting the raping of children by watching child pornography.

Yeah, people can't control whether they attracted to something or not, and shouldn't have to feel bad about themselves for it. It's the actions taken on those impulses in which the problem lies.
