Ciaran blushed only the tiniest bit. "Yes, I guess I got a little bit mad." She liked the feeling of the energy surging through her, but always felt a bit ashamed when she allowed herself to be posessed by it. "Erm, Nathaniel could you help me a bit, please?" she asked cautiously, "with my burns, I mean." Then a bit of her usual bravado returned. "Don't worry about me, good friend Den, I have suffered worse in my life time." though it rang the tiniest bit hollow.

"So, we've killed jellyfish monsters, boss. What now?" she asked as she rubbed the slight electrical burns she received. She undid her iron hands and went with her hands through her hair. She felt a cool breeze go through it and the beads of sweat garnered. It is always a surprise how much she manages to exert herself when she gets in a fight.

"Of course, my lady." Nathanial tended to Ciaran's injuries as well as he could, utilizing some of Mystra's grace to assist the healing.

Feather wanted to ask the thing 'Why not' but refrained from doing so. It might seem a little weird for her to be talking with herself. Plus, it might be wise to not let said dragon know that there is any doubt of its trust. She just walked back to group with the others again.

Nathanial continued to channel Mystra's power, wondering as he did so why none of the Paracletus had utilized their emotion-manipulating abilities. Had his comrades' minds been too guarded for the ability to be of use? Once again he lamented the necessity of killing them and his inability to communicate. Only think of what they could have learned if they could have spoken to one another...

"So, we've killed jellyfish monsters, boss. What now?"

"Nothing changed, brave sister Ciaran," Vorbrin answered calmly as he collected and examined the arrows he used in battle, "we treat our wounds and we keep moving to our destination."

Then he approached Den.

"You have fought well, dragon Den. As a reward I will channel the divine power of Grumbar to heal your wounds and ease your pain. It would helping knowing how badly injured you are, so I could provide the appropriate treatment."

"My wounds are not greivous, dwarf... But if you feel that you have the resources to spare, then that would be appreciated." The dragon said, nodding to Vorbrin and lowering his head. "Oh, and do be careful about the touching... I would hate for the archer to lose a hand over such a minor clout." With that warning out of the way, Den lowered his head and the long neck it was attached to for the inquisitor, allowing Vorbrin to reach the injured location easily. Well, one would assume it was injured, at least. It was still impossible to tell any features on this thing's body. Though the air seemed to be cracking a little less obviously around the inner location so... Maybe that was an indicator?

Almost as if in response to her thoughts, another message appeared on the back of Feather's hand for a breif moment, telling her, "I'll explain soon, but not while-" and suddenly, as quickly as the message had appeared, it was gone. The elf would feel Den's gaze on her, eyeless and unwavering. "Elf... Is something the matter? Is the map causing you trouble? If there is something wrong, I could take a look at that map for you, see if I can find anything broken or... Troubling." He said, his voice neutral, almost uncaring.

"Do not worry, dragon Den. The divine energy emitting from my hands will protect me from what little harm your body can do in such a short time."

Vorbrin closed his eyes, slightly touched Den's injuries and chanted the spell.

"Oh, Great and Powerful Grumbar, give your blessing onto our comrade and relieve his pain."

Vorbrin's hands glowed briefly and Den's aura became a bit thicker once again.

((A pathetic 14 hp cured with Moderate cure))

"Well...I was just wondering how far we have gone already. It's a little hard with it thing so little. Was wondering if it could not focus on the three points, but be moved around, and made bigger. I've not tried using my other hand to see if I could do such things. Maybe I'll try. And yeah, I'm ready to go."

With that, Feather uses her other hand to see if she could 'push' the map around with her fingers.

"Thank you very much, Nathaniel. I appreciate it." Ciaran said. She nodded when Vorbrin replied to her question. "Aight, sorry, just making sure. I kind of seem to lose sight of it all sometimes. This place  is so strange." She equipped her iron gauntlets again and was ready to go, after having remarked that.

Den's aura thickened to the point where it was almost perfect once again, and he sighed in a relieved way... but Feather did not feel the dragon's gaze leave her just yet. "Be careful with your... experiments. Wild magic such as this has a tendency to be rather catastrophic when it fails to work." And then she felt the gaze of the unreal creature shift from her as he stared down the tunnel instead. "Regardless, it is time to go... onward." And with that, the dragon began to lead our party of merry adventurers deeper into the caves.

Eventually the party moved far enough from the entrance of this cave system that not even the odd grey light streaming from the walls seemed to be enough to light the party's path, and Den had the group pull out their torches. Once the light illuminated the next cave, Feather and Vorbrin would instantly spot the swarm of paracletus hovering above the party, chipping away at the roof of the cavern and sprinking the party with pebbles and debris. None of the fifty little critters seemed to be moving down towards or even noticing the party, and Den snarls, "Well that's... disconcerting. They really couldn't have just waited until I left, could they?" Ducking down low the dragon began to slink along the ground, ensuring that nothing touched him again. However, this did not stop the dragon from leading the party farther in.

And this is when the everyone else began to notice something strange. Every time one of the little floating orbs seemed to pause and notice the dragon, its loud chitters and chirrs suddenly stopped when the shadows of the ceiling wrapped around and fused with the gem-like being's cores. After a second of just sitting there in silence, the outsider drifted back up and went back to work, chipping away at the stone for whatever reason it had been given. As if they had completely forgotten Den was there...

Nathanial: Your knowledge of spellcraft is solid enough that you can identify that the shadows are some kind of enchantment and that it oozing from Den, but as for what that enchantment is, it is beyond your knowledge. Your knowledge of the arcane tells you that it isn't an arcane spell, and from what you know of outsiders, this is not the normal behavior of these little things.

Feather: Your knowledge of dungeoneering lets you know that the paracletus are actually working away at the top of the cavern to cause a cave in. You also know that running would be quite advised.

"Do as sister Feather says! Get out of here!" Shouts Vorbrin while trying to keep up with the elf's pace. On his way he looks around trying to find a shortcut or a safe place to hide in case they won't be fast enough.

Nathanial followed Feather and Vorbrin at the fastest rate he could manage, glancing back to make sure their draconic companion was following and, if necessary, rendering assistance to the other members of the party to increase their speed.

((I seem to recall our Dwarf Inquisitor has a slower-than-human landspeed and I don't recall off-hand how encumbered the rest of the party is. But my push/drag weight is three quarters of a ton, and I'm pretty sure no one in the party weighs even close to that, so I'm going to push/pull any of my friends that start falling behind to give them a speed boost.))

Looking back just to make sure the others were following, with the exception of Ciaran who could easily outpace her,((though Nathanial could too, since Feather has a Medium load, but he's ensuring us slower people don't fall too far behind)) Feather noticed Vorbrin looking around. Good idea. They had no idea on where to go. Feather took that as a sign to start looking around too. She also took a couple opportunities to look at her hand.

"How do I change you!? Show us this cave! Show us where to go!"

Den, upon hearing Feather's exclamation, growled and literally just climbed up the wall, breathing up on a massive line of the swarm and killing a few dozen of the creatures in the process. "Run you idiots, I'll keep the cave from- Ah bother." He hissed under his breath, watching the entrance to the tunnel that you just walked out of collapse entirely. The Aeons, on the other hand, seemed to notice the dragon, and their chirs were not happy chirs. "... Meet me at the bottom of the mountain. There's only one real exit, so you'll be sure to-" The dragon commanded, before another rock fell on his head and he tunneled into the wall he was standing on. The Aeons immediately stopped what they were doing and followed after him, leaving the collapse of the tunnel to natural decay instead of deliberate destruction.

According to what Feather is able to tell as she runs, the rocks falling behind you are most definitely falling, and they will be rapidly approaching where you are standing. As well, you can tell from the cave's natural structure that they are not likely to stop falling for quite a ways down the line. Fortunately, your friend in the map responds and it zooms into where you are standing showing you an overview of the cave layout and giving you a good idea of where this cave goes. Unfortunately, it just shows you that you're pretty much locked into a straight line, with only rat-sized holes leading out from your death trap.

This is about when the map tells you, "Take a left. Now." There is nothing but a stone wall there, but at the rate of collapse, well... it's not likely that you are going to get out before the falling rocks catch up to you. Ciaran and Vorbrin also notice the message this time, though they only catch the words "left" and "now." They also happen to notice that it is a wall they would be turning towards.

Ciaran didn't see anywhere to go and didn't quite trust "going left" smack dab into a wall, but it was worth a shot, maybe? Maybe it was the panic inside her head, but she figured maybe she could bounce off and keep running. She thrust her body full force against the wall, intending to bounce back and keep running, in case she was just delusional.

When Ciaran ran into the wall, she would feel that the wall on her left half was definitely quite real. However, as she tried to push away from the wall, her right hand just slipped into the stone, and someone grabbed the warrior by the wrist, yanking her in hard enough that she lost her balance and fell on the ground in total darkness. The sound of someone running into the caves would reach her ears before she was able to recover, and she would be able to see the party behind her and the collapsing tunnel by the light of their torches.

On Feather's hand, the map corrected itself as it readjusted the distance they actually needed to travel, and said, "Sorry. Now."
