Seeing Ciaran's collision with the wall, Feather wasn't too sure, but Ciaran did manage to go through in the end.

Nathanial realized the moment Den started treating vertical surfaces like flooring the amount of assistance he could render the dragon was minimal. ((Hello lousy Climb.  )) Nevertheless he felt obliged to shout after him as the cavern started collapsing on top of their most recently-acquired compatriot.
"Den! No!"
And then the dragon disappeared into a tunnel of his own making.
Nathanial was a mostly-rational sort of Paladin, and knew, on some level at least, that there was nothing he could have done that would have kept the small army of hostile creatures from chasing after the dragon. He had no wings of his own, and was not much of a climber. There would always be people that he could not protect or could not save. And Den had seemed confident enough about their meeting up again that perhaps he wasn't direly in need of assistance in the first place. But it frustrated Nathanial anyway.
Nathanial didn't notice the strange message on his comrade's hand ((do I even get a roll for these things? I know my Perception is lousy...)) but, keeping pace with the slower members of the party, he could hear Feather shout even above the sound of many tons of falling rock.
"Left! Follow Ciaran!"
He did his best to comply.

A magic stone wall that even I could not detect? Oh, if only I was not in such a hurry not to get crushed to death. Thought Vorbrin and lunged into the wall after the others.

The whole party does make it into the tunnel, and some rocks do tumble in with a good deal of force (one of them gives Vorbrin a decent clout on the head), but for the most part, the party manages to avoid the falling death trap. This means that a different danger was just around the corner, however. Or in this case, coming from within the corner. Out of the wall of the cave to your left, a wave of Den's breath washes out and catches the party in the path. While only catching the tail end of the destructive force, you all feel a short jolt of pain and disorientation before the darkness fades away. ((Vorbrin is dealt 23 damage, Feather is dealt 13, Ciaran and Kareeah are dealt 6 each. This is added to the roll20 avatars already))
From the new hole in the wall, the party can hear a draconic cry of frustration, as well as the final screams of dozens of the aeons chasing him. The moment those fade however, the buzzing and almost solid sound of hundreds of paracletus can be heard echoing through the tunnels, and the dragon's voice cries out, "How many of you can there be?! Fine! Have at me then!" From the sounds of it, Den will likely be busy for a bit longer... and it might just be a good idea to get out of the line of fire.
Another squad of a dozen or so paracletus flow past the party's head and into the newly-made hole, ignoring you completely. Likely, this will distract the outsiders remaining in the mountain as well... or at least the Aeons. This should give you a bit more room to travel through the side tunnels you find yourself in, which seem to have a little more color to them that grows stronger and stronger every few seconds. The light of your torches and other lighting instruments you may have illuminate the tunnel ahead of you, showing a path that eventually splits to the left and right. Whoever Ciaran's friend in the shadows is, if their footsteps were still audible or they were still running, then the noise of the aeons drowns it out, so there aren't really any hints that will come from that.

Vorbrin steadied himself, clutching his injuries. Once again, he was glad he was wearing a mask and no one saw his face when he experienced the immense pain from Den's breath. All he needed to do was stifle the scream and he got very good at that over the years.
"That was... discomforting." He said when he was sure he got full control of his voice. "We should keep moving, but before that I would really like to know why we just ran into a wall? And why wasn't it there when we did?"

Feather walks over to the wall to the right and, hoping that it too isn't something she would just fall through, places her hands upon it to help ease herself down to her knees for a quick rest. She, in response to Vorbrin's questions, waves back with the hand with the map.
"This said to turn left. I guess Ciaran saw it too. I wasn't totally sure about it, but after Ciaran managed to get in here with that slightly off timing..."

Nathanial couldn't feel fear anymore, but an adrenaline rush was still within his emotional capabilities and he was still in the midst of the one that had gotten him out of the rockfall.
"With respect, my comrades, should we not go to Den's assistance?" It had most definitely sounded like the dragon needed it. Then Nathanial noted the fresh injuries on the rest of the party. "...do any of you require Mystra's aid?"

"I will humbly ask Grumbar to ease our wounds. Just tell me how hard were you hit. As for dragon Den," Vorbrin looks the way Den's screams came from. "Our friend who we thought needed our help against a handful of outsiders is taking on dozens of them and does not seem to be loosing quite yet. There is definitely more to him than we know and if he wants to keep to himself let him fend for himself. Besides, he did tell us to get out and meet him outside. Let us assume he knows what he's talking about."
That last part was added after Vorbrin saw the disapproving look on Nathaniel's face.

"Someone pulled me in, boss. I felt a hand or something close enough to it." Ciaran said when everyone had uncoiled from the rolling and the falling and the tumbling. "There are other human-like creatures in this area."
She listened closely to what was going outside.
"Sorry to say, Nathaniel, I swore to protect Den just as you did, but I think I am better able to protecting him when he isn't bringing down the house, you know? I motion we keep an eye out and get out of here."

"Someone pulled you in? That is interesting..." said Vorbrin and looked around the cave as if trying to find the mysterious helper.
"But first thing's first - let's treat those wounds. Sister Feather, I feel that you need Grumbar's divine assistance the most."
Once again Vorbrin closed his eyes, held the holy symbol hanging from his neck and mumbled the holy words. A light shone around Feather and all her wounds disappeared as if they never were.
"Now, let's see if we can find our benefactor and see why he was so eager to help us."
Vorbrin started walking around the cavern, looking for any kind of tracks.

Downcast, he tried to assist in securing the area.
((Looking at Detect Evil again, I think I can use it at-will to just see if Evil things are nearby (it says 60 ft range but 30 ft cone...), so I'm going to do that, too.))

Feather stood up after the healing, and felt as though all of her wounds had just vanished.
"Thank you, Vorbrin. I agree. Let's find this mysterious hand person," she said, then looked to her own hand. "Well, this other mysterious hand person." With that said, she started looking around.
((Got an 11 on survival. My 1st roll of 1 on a skill check, I think. And got a 16 on perception))

From the sounds of things, Ciaran would get the feeling that Den was doing quite a bit better than the little paracletus, at least if the hundreds of death chirrs that sounded out whenever the dragon roared out and unleashed his breath on the small outsiders was any indicator. The dragon's cries were more from frustration than pain. Apparently, that tunneling ability kept him outside of their reach enough to stay at least marginally safe.
On a different subject, while usually Vorbrin would not be able to track something on solid rock, the dust from the cave in and ages and ages of undisturbed limestone deposits (which you are now able to see the color of, it seems that whichever faction held sway here before is rapidly losing their influence, likely because of Den) allow you to notice some faint tracks leading down both tunnels. One is three toed and is obviously from the large Aeon that you had seen before, though looking closely it was rather obvious that there were more tracks than just one of them could have made, and then there was the unmistakable marking of a heavily treaded boot. This second pair of tracks seemed familiar to you, but you couldn't quite place from where...
The path itself seems to be relatively straight, bending and twisting ever so slightly as you move along. Some very small cracks and tunnels branch off from the path you are traveling, but for the most part it's just a single, solitary path that doesn't appear on Feather's hand map. The map itself seems to blur and warp, as if trying to correct this mistake every once in a while, but for the most part it just shows Feather's marker sitting in between some uneven cavern tunnels and walls. Something else that isn't revealed is anything evil, no matter how much Nathaniel scans and probes the surrounding area. So either nothing is there, or anything evil is more than amply protected against the detective magics... and invisible. And flat enough to fit up against a wall in this 5' wide hallway... so it doesn't seem very likely that anything is actually there.
The sound of Den's battle slowly become only faint echos when the path the party is following abruptly comes to a halt, a large tumble of rocks laying in their path. Almost as if on cue, the map on Feather's hand contorts and forms the words, "It is not time for us to meet yet... why must you persist in this silly chase? Turn back, take the other path." Beyond the rocks, you are able to make out the sound of faint, distant screams and some sort of explosion, trembling the ground and cave ceiling around you. Vorbrin would note that the footsteps the party had been following, while more obscured by dust than before, seem to walk straight through where the collapsed rocks sit now.

"It seems that our mysterious benefactor is indeed connected with the map sister Feather is carrying. This is troublesome, it means that someone else is in control of our movements. And I really would like to meet him. Anyone can think of a way to get on the other side of this rock slide?"
Vorbrin looked around, focusing mostly on the barrier in front of him, trying to find ways to open it up, squeeze through or at the very least peep inside.

Nathanial's first instinct was to check and ensure that the stonefall was actual rock and not illusion—having just come plunging through a stone wall that wasn't there and finding more stone inconveniently in their path, it was an obvious precaution to take.
((Do I need to roll anything to disbelieve?
Assuming it is NOT just an illusion, I'll check and see if any of those side passages look like they might go around—staying within easy yelling distance of the rest of the party.))

Under Vorbrin and Nathaniel's scrutiny, it is determined that these rocks are, in fact, real... until you looked at the top of the ten foot tall pile. Vorbrin would note that where all of the rest of the rock is sandstone and limestone, the stone at top appears to be a dusty red rock, which to the dwarf is a jarring change. Perhaps the illusion had been made when the color was more of a grey scale, and thus harder to tell? Regardless of the reason, the top is perfectly open if you can climb up to it.
However, Vorbrin's knowledge of stone also allows him to notice that the stone pile is more than a little unstable, and it will require careful footing and scaling to reach the top. If you are not careful, the falling stone is likely to cause another rock slide and bury whoever is climbing under a few tons of solid earth. Fortunately, it seems that whatever is happening on the other side of the rock wall is becoming less and less pitched, or at least more distant, so the trembling stone walls and ceiling have become nothing more than a dull vibration, leaving the path at least a little less dangerous than it would have been otherwise.
The message on the map changed again, and Feather could actually hear a mental sigh accompany it. "So be it. At least take off your armor first, you will bring the whole mountain down on yourself the way you walk around in it."

So, " Vorbrin made a short pause in his monotonous speech and looked at Ciaran, "sister Ciaran, you are our greatest climber I believe. Would you care to find us a relatively safe route up the pile? And possible secure a rope for the rest of us to follow while you're up there? Your effort would be greatly appreciated, of course."
