The "Did you know?" thread - Interesting HoMM facts

I've been reading earlier threads here in HC and I've come across this one by Storm-Giant. In february, 2014, HoMM3 celebrated its 15th anniversary, and there have been quite a few events regarding this. One of them being the "Did you know" topic, where players were supposed to collect little kown facts about the game. Let me point out the ones already listed in the above thread:

- Stone gargoyles and golems can be turned into stone by medusas or basilisks, even though they are made of stone.
-You can fly further if you fly over roads.
- Black dragons are immune to spells completely, however they take damage form Efreet Sultans' fire shield. (Even though they don't take damage from the Tower town's landmine wall barrier.)
- Windmill never gives you wood.
- Archangels can resurrect allies too.

Interesting - I thought. After an extensive 2 hours search however, I still failed to find any forums or anything else where this is discussed. If such a topic does exist, then take my apologies.

So I thought maybe we can discuss this here. After some searching again, I discovered that there's no such thread yet here on HC (again if I'm mistaken, I apologise). So if you know an interesting little fact about the game, don't hesitate to share. But wait. Why restrict this to HoMM3 only? Let's make it any 6 HoMM games released so far.

For example, my favourite HoMM fact is from HoMM3, which goes: SoD combo artifacts such as Angelic Allience or Armor of the Damned can cast their spells even when fighting in an anti-magic garisson. So how about you guys? What else do you know?

Yeah, I don't quite get this one either. You know, I was just wondering about this, but couldn't imagine any situation where this could be possible. So no idea, I read this in the thread above, but it was very strange to me as well.

Only in Age of Wonders you can have a fight with multiple allies on one side.

Maybe somebody thought that people think Archangels can resurrect only themselves?

He doesn't mean that but Ubisoft.

And no one understands it either, it isn't a hidden fact that they can ressurect allies lol

The original "Did You know..." topic is here.

And another useful topic here.

Please close this one.

I think what they meant to write was that not only the Hero can resurrect troops, but ArchAngels can resurrect them as well.

But that's straightforward, Archangel description says it well "Ressurects allies"...it's no hidden fact at all.

They could have mentioned anything else, like pikeman immune to cavalier/champion.

My remark was about "can resurrect allies too".

Probably they hired for translation someone not playing the game.

The "too" probably means as well as your hero. A case of newbie stating the obvious.
