For me heroes 3 was good, 4 was bad, 5 was good, 6 was bad. So the next must be good

Well there's no such thing as "must" when it comes to inductive reasoning. And remember H2 was good also.

@Verriker: don't get me wrong, I distrust Ubisoft, specially after Heroes VI...if they screw something I'd critize them, but I prefer to wait and see before judging

According to Fibonacci sequence only Heroes 8 will be good, not Heroes 7:

Well no matter what people say about sales numbers etc. (I guess it's easy to boost sales these days by ultra-cheap discounts long after release) I doubt that the extremely chilly reception H6 got by most fans have passed completely over the heads of (even) Ubisoft. Hopefully we'll soon get some clues about in which areas and how they've tried to change direction, but I think it's safe to bet that some sort of direction change will have happened. Big question is whether it'll be enough.

I hope that this time Ubi won't make me to boycott Heroes 6 and leave shop without the game. Last time I almost bought box version of H6. When I saw that I need to pay 50% more than for H5 and I'll get only a cd in a "newspaper quality dvd box"... I did resigned.
I had an opportunity to check the game and I do not regret my decision. Maybe this time Heroes 7 will provide us everything producers promised. We'll see... We'll see...

Ubisoft doesn't matter. They don't know jack snow about video games, all they really do is distribute games. The real question is who did they hire for Heroes 7?

It looks like there are going to be 6 factions. Haven, Stronghold, Necropolis and Academy is already decided. The last two will be decided by voting. First vote is about Fortress (h5-style) or Sylvan.
It also seems the core/elite/champion system returns, but now there is 3 core units, 3 elite and 2 champion units. Also there are some "warfare units" available to each faction.

I was mixed about H6, but I must say Limbic did an awesome job with Shades of Darkness which is enough for me to give them some credit for H7.
