Yes, I agree, there must be more content to make this sound. The amount of content currently is just too small to make it worth playing the game IMO.

Trust me, professional players do have to rush through recruitment buildings. It is a part of the strategy, whether playing against AI, and certainly in multiplayer.

An alternative would be just to raise the resource costs.


I know. I just don't like this game style. I think (or hope) there are lots of people like me who do not consider Homm games as “professional tactical game” like chess.  This doesn’t make me casual player though.

It can be rushed. You must hire a hero with Economy skill, earn lvl 4 with him (visit two stones of enlightenment or whateveryoucallit and couple of chests), and pick a perk for two buildings per day. Now you can build two building each day with discount of 20%. Simple.

I replied to you over at CH as well. Think it's just more semantics in title. I do a lot of stuff. But for that particular question I certainly wasn't involved in the design process. Right now though I'm all about that community.

Thx Steve. I just hoped to except more frequent communication updates, to calm down the furious fans, and not hurt even more the franchise.. Like dear Heroes maniacs, we made a huge progress, and we are still testing, so calm down bla bla bla or we sorry we f.... this  up, but we will compensate you etc.

There is going to be some more solid Patch information coming out very shortly (cos i wrote it). What can I tell you know though.

Patch is ETA early next week, though of course subject to change if some crazy wizard messes stuff up on weekend.
Well over 100 bugs/improvements in this first patch alone.
These cover crashes, campaign blockers, GUI issues, Multiplayer Out of syncs, Save/load issues with scripting and a lot of Loca issues.

This is just one of many post release support patches. The more the community provides me feedback, game logs and save games the more we can put into these patches as well.

Afraid I can't go into more detail than that, but you wont be in the dark for too long.

There was a time when quick-combat option didn't exist. It was later on implemented by fans only to avoid end game boring battles like you have let's say +3k Sharpshooters with Archangels and the threat is the weekly spawned 25 Griffins and happen to block your path for instance.

Ye. AI turn times have massively been reduced! In your current version it's something like 6-7sec per hero per turn. So when they buy up 5+ heroes it can start to build up. Now it's something around 6-7 secs for the whole turn. It's a huge increase.
Also the threat calculations have been tightened up a bit and the game gives ranged units a slightly higher value.

There's some more specifically for AI but off the top of my head this is what I can remember.

It would be also nice if Limbic could implement some quick combat options, in the case of enemy Hero fort attack. Sometimes its 5-10 min loss just to watch this stupid battle, which you will loose anyway... And the AI just runs with meele units before the walls, 'till the siege engine not brake it, and sometimes it takes too long 'till he kills your units with flyers or shooters. /I always run out with my units and press on defend just to make it faster, but it is a little bit annoying/

I guess you're referring to Necro campaign when you are forced to play lost in advance battles?

My point was more related to AI, since a heroes player usually fights A LOT of neutrals early game and it HAS to be at least decent here.

No, I was refering on cases when the enemy attacks your main, and there are forts with few local guard units on his way. It was a suggestion, to reduce the waiting time, 'till the enemy finish your units, you are forced to fight, and there is no autobattle option. It can be on any map such situation, where are gates and forts located.
