Announcing Might & Magic Heroes VII: Trial by Fire
Avaiable on JUNE 2ND
That is much sooner that I expected. I think its release will be even worse than H7's.
On the other hand, it explains with certainty why last patches brought so few improvements.
And one more good thing: Gameplay improvements will be available for everyone as a global update.

I'm clicking at the invisible preorder button and throwing money at the screen right now...
Anyway... I guess they hurried up with this expansion so they can squeeze one more at the end of the year. just my guess tho.

Jim Sterling was right. They really don't know what iconic means. How can a NEW lineup be iconic is beyond me. Unless by new they mean old and by old I mean H3 fortress old.

I am just gonna assume that they were working on this from the start of the Heroes VII production along with Inferno and they are just gonna sell the last two differently trying to save what they can.
But, in a more serious note, the game is not out a year yet and they put in an "expansion" they call add-on so soon while the base game still needs a ton of things fixing, can mean that they want money and they want to try and cover the fiasco created by the base game.
Moreover, this... DLC (is the better word for it) doesn't add that much stuff... Just another faction. This is no easy feat, but in my books, it is not expansion material. Two campaigns, two scenarios and some skirmish maps along with a new race and a couple of neutrals? Meh....
But on the positive note, there will be more models and abilities for our modders to use in order to enrich our game so, i am happy for that.
Finally, at least they do have the courtesy to provide the skill overhaul for all of us, and not only those that get the add-on, although minus that, does the expansion really amounts to the money they are gonna ask with the "standalone" title on it?

In this case iconic for them means they used the units portrayed in the might and magic official portal, meaning i guess the Valkyrie, the defender, the bear, the fire dragon and the Fire Giant. And also a lot of heroes V heroes. That's what iconic for them because it is the only thing that they can use that refers and is in ashan.

Going to chip in here early because i'm sure you're not the only one who is feeling like this. There's a reason the last few patches weren't big bombs. We've been working on this in parallel but giving it our Priority. Polish and core fundamental features changing (more on that in our articles) are the Key words when i think this addon. Another faction and extra campaign missions is a bonus.
Basically any bugs that i've said were fixed, that weren't in patches or big game play changes i've been teasing at will be in this.

they release an add-on so early? the vanilla version isnt even 1 year old, and until now it needs "some" fixing.

Heroes of Might and Magic V was released in Europe on May 16, 2006. The first Heroes V expansion pack was released on November 17, 2006.
