Thanks, I had seen that picture before, but I hadn't noticed the portrait before. Probably because I saw it before I saw the dervish design.
Anyway, for Necropolis I would like to see the Wights return, but as a Champion unit (along with the Bone Dragon). Also with Death Knights as elites to form a counterpart for the Haven Horseman. If they are continuing the Egyptian theme from Heroes 6 then Mummies would be a nice addition.

Those are based on the Gorgon's of D&D, not the ones from Greek Mythology.

Just looked at the new artwork from the goodies threat. The Angel actually looks better than I though.
The priest and his upgrade are without a doubt heavily inspired by the H6 haven magic heroes.
The new gargoyle seems to have taken some inspiration from catwoman. I like it 
Definitely looks like a fast striking unit I don't want to encounter in a dark alleyway hehe.

sorry, but I don't think that H3 getting some of its mythology mixed up is much of a good excuse at all
why don't we add in a panda and call it the Nemean lion while we're at it

It's not like I want to be a party crasher here or something, but...
If the line-up of a faction like haven doesn't change and just get new designs people call it to similar and complain.
If we get new units for haven, like the glory, people want the old stuff back and complain.
If old designs like the ones for academy from heroes 6 are taken, which were never used in any of the games , people call it "recycling" and complain.
If we get something new like the cabir which wasn't taken from any old legends people complain...because they didn't "recycle" stuff from old myths.
Sometimes I wonder if we even know what we want XD

I know they won't be back, lol. That doesn't mean I don't want them incorporated into the game somehow. (presumably in Sactuary since that's a more swamp/oriental oriented faction where it could work. Holy Moos as part of an Indian-based faction <3)

Oh, I don't mind Basilisks either. in fact, just bring back H3 Fortress instead of the Dark-Elf Dungeon.

As much as I dislike the Dark Elves, I think they are here to stay as M&M is stuck on Ashan. The best way to get rid of them IMO is via a Minotaur Revolt.
HIII Fortress, if it ever returns needs a new name and someone to lift the arbitrary 9-faction cap.
