Well I disagree. I think last great game was HoMM 5. Things went well until they found the need to "reinvent" the series.

H5 was reinvention of the series already. It was good game, no doubt, but good in this new "Ashan" series. Old series dosen't exist anymore. Continuation of previous (original HoMM) ended with invention of Ashan and death of NWC.

The only thing they wanted to reinvent was the universe. The gameplay and certain Heroes elements remained the same or got tweaked a little. It's not like they made an entirely different game, otherwise why buy the HoMM IP?

Dark Messiah, CoH or DoC at least have some connection to the upcoming game, to be perfectly honest... Games older than Heroes V are pretty much irrelevant.

Don't ask me, I didn't start it. Admittedly, I did continue it, but it was just a few offhand comments and two small pictures, while your images and their amount felt like they were taken straight from some MM8 review.

I disagree to some extent (hence mechanics of HV) but see your point and would say is the core of the problem. When a fan base is divided that much, maybe some questions should be raised, IMO.
