A young player with no past experience of the franchise would believe anything to be the most awesome thing conceivable. An veteran would not. So if you please the one with the bigger expectations, you'll please them both. It's really that simple.

Yeah, stuff like medusa and troglodytes in a bloody dark elven dungeon town? Or Haven that looks like something out from Rome series.. Human here, human there o look large fat human champion.. In a game about mythical armies... Wolves are much more mythical then Griffins ... Yeah right makes sense..

Wait, so Troglodytes and Medusas are not mythical, but dark elves are? I don't want a Dark Elf majority town that's for sure. I want diversity.

So is one elf in an elven town sufficient for you? Let's just stuff random creatures without any resemblence to each other to random towns and rejoice!

There are two Elves in the army, similarly to Heores VI.

Yes I know, both are in the Core.. I don't really mind it, it's just the whole concept is confusing - compare Haven to Dungeon for example.. All because Haven was made by the dev team and Dungeon is a result of the vote..
But back to the article, it's obvious the journalist is clueless. And though I like Heroes 6, it's skill system is weak, and removing resources, town conversion and areas of control are all very questionable, and my book - wrong desicions.

Well what a bull snow of a article that from it's title down to it's final point is a click bait. As for the whole article I have no idea in what context was the interview taken and when. So I will go with Sandro4000 on this.
As for the whole collectors edition , I dislike the statue just like the statue of the angel dud from H6. hope there is going to be a collector's edition without it. I really like the art books and the physical OST for the game. And the pricing is well bonkers.
P.S. is anyone pre-ordering the game or take the safer route and wait for the game to be out and properly reviewed.

the fact that it's an elven town is the freakin' problem when it should be a dungeon (or sylvan, whatever) town, home to various creatures and beasts sharing the same/similar ideologies. be it brutal city-state dictatorships and rampant, unchecked experimentation (h3 dungeon(correct me if i'm wrong)) or something else. the problem is that currently it's limited to just f'n elves and that's boring. The connection should be ideology, not ears.

Stevie, I and a few different people from here are going to pre-order it. others will wait for the reviews. Speaking about pricing - search for the offerts from different gaming shops in your country. They will sell the game for a significantly lower price. Uplay has standard, Western-European prices, while shops in your country will probably sell the game more cheaply.

Well in Ashan this is how it is - Dungeon is Dark Elves - and some people like it that way! I have always been fascinated by the concept of Dark Elves, and they too in Ashan, have ideology, connections to some creatures like Minotaurs, etc.
Same with Necropolis and Spiders lol.
Collectors Edition.. I'm not a collector myself although for Heroes I'm considering it - mainly for the card deck and artbook. I was also considering it for Witcher 3 - but th price there is completely of the charts.
I think I will end up getting the Digital Deluxe one... Decisions!
One advise for people preordering from Ubi shop - you can exchange 100 uplay points for the 20% voucher, eligible on all games even preorders! Not sure about collectors though. And their system is glitchy so I'm still waiting for the voucher.

But in this case it is making sense... troglodytes and medusas are cave creatures just like dark elves
I don't mind small number of elves, but I sure don't want another Haven 2.0 with one race to be in the majority. (Haven is the only town despite being full of humans I love, because it makes them charming... the whole concept of some puny humans battling big monsters is appealing to me)
And I'm sure I wouldn't like a Sylvan town with a bunch of wood elves. (And I would even cut down on the elves in Sylvan, but I'm ok with the current line up. It was one of my favourite Towns in Heroes 5, after they wasted my all time favourite Dungeon )
So all in all I want Towns with diverse creatures, if it's fun, I'm bought.

There was a statue version of H6 CE??? I have the collector but it didn't contain any angel statue.
As You and Hermes and many others said, CE is way too pricey. I like the Ivan statue but it doesn't worth to me even if the game will be good.
BUT I'll wait for some explanation on skillwheel, beta reviews. I think the last two line ups will be good, so I'm not worried about that. Beside necropolis (uh, sorry spiderpolis), the line ups are really great imo. It's all on gameplay now, on my end.
Sorry for double post.

This I can agree with, but now we have what we have - Ashan.
In regards to Medusa, in Ashan they are Naga - water creatures

I'm not going to pre-order but on which polish site did you pre-ordered ? gram.pl ?
becaouse I have never pre-orderd games and I don't know which one are reliable and if you pre-order not in the Uplay shop do you have acces to beta ? because digital editions are "UPLAY EXCLUSIVE PRE-ORDER OFFER"

I buy games via gram.pl and konsoleigry.pl and the first one is where I am going to preorder the game. Speaking about this whole "Uplay exclusives" - they are so "exclusive" that they are available in other shops, including gram.pl. If you change your mind and decide to preorder the game, then do it through gram.pl. It is cheaper and you get the game at the day of its release.

So has it been confirmed that Haven is the final campaign or there is just one final scenario after you have completed 6x4 maps in random order?

Thanks That's where I wanted to pre-order the game before this beta situation, now I'm just gonna wait to do this and I wasn't sure if pre-ordering on gram.pl gives acces to beta and I didn't wanted to buy it on Uplay if I can buy it cheaper somewhere else, overall I'm gonna pre-oder but I'm gonna wait for that a month or two, I need more info

Marzhin has reitared this many times - there will be more than 25 campaign maps. Some campaigns will have four maps, others five. The last mission will be unlocked after completion of one campaign. However, the more campaigns you finish, the easier the epilogue gets. In what way? Nobody knows. I have a feeling that the epilogue will resemble to some extent final missions of the Heroes V campaigns, meaning that there will be one main hero (in this case Ivan) and a bunch of secondary heroes that will somehow take part in the mission, like in "The Flamboyant Exit", where other heroes were supposed to destroy surrounding Inferno cities.
