Trying to use the Angel as a reason against the Demon's inclusion doesn't hold up. In Ashan, Demons aren't diametrically opposed to Angels like in most fiction. Angels' opposites are Faceless, and Demons are opposed to all children of Asha. A Demon shouldn't be exempted from the council because of an angel, it should be because everyone at the table would hate them and exclude them. The Angel should only disallow Faceless to be there, which only would limit Dungeon's appearance (of course, they could just have a Dark Elf in place of a Faceless.)

Gonna have another boring wood elf faction then, they're so thematically limited no wonder their units are over used. Nature, Elves... Dwarves can tap into mechanical units, earthen units, fiery units, icy units (they live in the icy peaks as well as underground) ontop of dwarf units.
Maybe if they gave the elves something interesting, like a warhammer swinging elf, something SAVAGE.
Some Dwarven berserkers use no weapons, and instead wear bladed armor, and literally throw themselves at their foes, covered in spikes. Forget the specific name of those guys =/

I agree. I at least would be rooting for something if Sanctuary was pinned against Dungeon, not Inferno. Gah, I don't like them both.
I didn't like Sanctuary in H6 but it's only because of their creature lineup. I would love to give them another chance.

all i see here is "dwarves good, smack!mechanic, BOOM!, fire, SAVAGE,bodyslam!! GRRR"
yeah elves are more than that. unicorns dryads, treants,stag riders and more don't seem boring but the epitomy of fantasy. and nature is never a limit. it's vast.
this is a fantasy game and elves seal the deal in that area.
if the game goes well you will see your dwarves again.

Both Sylvan and Fortress could get interesting creatures to make them less generic.

Of course i take it seriously, i waited 8 years for Fortress to come back, in ANY of the HoMM games, took 7 years before Legacy brought them back in. And between all that time i played dozens of other games dominated by Elves or wanna-be elves, you know the ones. There was really very little "generic" in their line up, objectively.
I'm pretty sure every unit Sylvan/Elf/Nature/Rampart has ever had has been done multiple times in other games. Warcraft 3 had a more interesting elf line up. At least Dwarves could have some interesting weapon variety, like an axe with a chain on it for hooking and drawing enemies in (sort of like harpooners but a better pull)
Or barrow something out of Warhammer, give the Dwarves that Anvil of Doom for a Champion, a weapon of mass destruction
This thing only forges pure destruction, rune master shatters a rune on the anvil, BAM, lightning storms and earthquakes ripping the enemies apart.

Well reading comments since its known what the next voting is it seems people are going to vote inferno since they don't want another elf faction.
Still I think pitting slyvan against dungeon would of been more fair and interesting. Then set up fortress vs inferno, even as an inferno fan I would not be upset if we lost considering I think this would of made things more "fair". I do agree with danny that if it was Sylvan vs Academy that would be nail biting.
Now I going to cry dwarven tears to know dwarves are not making the cut.

There must be no Dungeon at all. Even in voting. 1 elf race is more then enough. I hope next is Inferno and something else...
