the firewall thing solved it for me 100%.

The game's engine is crappy. it leaks memory and CPU, so you have to restart the game every here and then. I suggest once every few hours.

Anyhow, I suggest dxwnd to play with video libraries used for rendering. I didn't need to use it for this game, but it's tremendously useful for other old games.

Imported model animation problem
I made a simple animation which is just swaying arms with motionbuilder.It looks normal in it,but it's right arm is broken when imported into mmh7editor.
Giving opposite direction coordinate movement to bones in motionbuilder can't solve this problem.
How to solve this problem? or is there any way to edit bones in mmh7editor?

No idea. I didn't reach the point of importing my model in HoMM7 yet.

I tried another model,this time it's animation floats over the sky.
Scaling in motionbuilder seems to be limited,it looks larger but when imported into mmh7editor it can be only up to 2 times larger.
So I use milkshape to make it larger,but milkshape can't enlarge bones as a whole.That's a lot of extra work.

I know. Sadly, I'm not modding 3D for now, and I'm not modding H7 either now, just H3 graphics.

The problem disappears after i reposition both arms of the bones of the first model to fit their group which they are assigned with.But i can't find definatel assosiation between these parts of the bones and the broken right arm.If that causes the problem,not only the right arm but also the left arm should be broken.

Another weird problem.
I start to import weapon to the models in my mod.When i assign a group to a joint it sometimes fails,and it always fails on the same models.I have to skip some model on this job.
Today it occus in a more weird way.I try to import two weapon models to a model for she is a dual wielder.It's ok with the assign for the first one,but fail on the second one.
I import two weapon on other models before and meet some problem with name of groups and no assigh failure.
After failure occurs milkshape will collapse when click draw vertices with bone colors.

Question on choosing magic school on first mission of a campaign

Was playing the first mission of the sylvan campaign and when i build a mage guild in my first (and only) town it asks you to choose a magic school that at least one spell from will appear on each level of every mage guild. Does this mean just for that mission or will my choice for the first mission mean it's the same magic school for every mission in that campaign?

Hi everyone, quick question, please:

Currently, to me one of the worst thing about the design of the game is the uneven distribution of skills (especially Grandmaster levels) between hero classes. Some, like Water or Fire magic, are terribly underrepresented, while others (Offense, Wargare, etc.) are featured on almost every single character. Is there a mod that would balance this issue out somewhat?

It works independently for every single town of yours, even during the same scenario.
