Poll Question:
Poll : Which system would you like regarding boarding/landing on boats ?

So by watching again IGN vid I noticed that the hero lands from boat and has no movement penalty. I wonder if this is one of the changes H6 brought that Erwan mentionned wouldn't be removed ? I personnaly hate it that you can just board/land without any mvt loss. Apart from the fact that I find it perfectly normal that you loose a day by boarding full armies into a boat, I really enjoy it gameplay-wise. It's just another step you have to think ahead. What a relief for instance when enemy lands day 7 one day away from your castle or when on the contrary you land day 6 and get fresh recrues the day after the siege. Among other things.. Although I know some people think it would be best to only have some amount lost while boarding I still find this alternative too easy At extreme limit I would bare to keep only a few amount of mvt points if I get Expert Navigation or some rare artefact.

So my vote obviously goes for #1. What do you think ?

Responses:
Hero looses all mvt points while boarding/landing
Hero looses no mvt points while boarding/landing
Hero looses some amount of mvt point while boarding/landing

Muaha ! As incredible that it might seem lots of players don't know about ini file.. However you are definitly right there could be some option panel in main menu allowing players to enable/disable features !

Voted "some". Next choice would be none.I always found losing all movement points to be more of a nuisance than good addition to game-play.

Voted for some movement points. I like it has a handicap for boarding, but I dislike losing all your points of one day.

That wouldn't work in multiplayer. As a game option when creating a game it could.

But let's not forget too many options could easily backfire.

I agree, heroes need more customization, but it should be more user-friendly, like the WoG options panel

What if one player has chosen 'all' and faces other player which chose 'none'?

Yes, this, more options in advanced setup panel when starting game please.

As for poll, I'd say loose some unless having navigation skill/perk.

Make players agree on a set of rules before starting the game, problem solved.

Usually only the game host has access to advanced options. Also each player can have a different boarding setup, why not.

True that. I still think it would be much more clear and intuitive if the host can choose it as a game option when creating the game...

Well, I think all players should play under the same rules. But maybe it's just me!

Voted some, and I'd say it depends on the size of the army, the bigger it is, the more points are lost.

Well, beside sarcasm, this is an interesting remark.

Let's take for example heroes 3-4. There is no option in any to skip pre battle music, which lasts about 7-8 seconds. I played maps where I had about 500 battles, now multiply and see how much time I lost because there was no frigging ini which offer intelligent choices.

Companies think players are retarded mongoloids which have tons of time to waste on their games. Well, partially this is right, but a game should offer all shortcuts possible to make all tedious actions last less.

For me, boarding on a ship then losing movement is making the game longer and I want to skip this repetitive feature.

Losing movement when boarding a ship is the single greatest thing that keeps me from playing island maps. It's extremely annoying, and I'd like it removed.
