"Meh" to your perspective issues. I don't find them particularly noticeable without specifically focusing on the matter. Besides, there's nowhere to go but up after the H6 version.

Not a huge fan. The energy isn't there. I do not feel anything, no excitement or joy. Just a plain meeeh.

To me Haven shouldn't be on an island. It should be more like H5 meets H3..

Do not have that dragon. Fewer buildings, push them together, it seems more human to me.

Master Architect: So... We have a wonderful and strategic place to build a city: lone hilltop, mountains on the one side, river on the other, gorge on the third and a waterfall... So, what we should build first?

Apprentice: Foundations?

Master Architect: Nah... We have prefabricated buildings already. We will ask our flight brigades to transport them here and then to drop them from the sky. We will save so much time.
Now... this rock on waterfall... it looks like a great place to build a cathedral.

Apprentice: But master, won't it fall down with time passing? You know of course about erosion effect?

Master Architect: Don't worry, magic will keep it in place. Of course mages could dispel this effect but I'm sure Angels' magic is non-dispelable.

Apprentice: Master, what about fortifications? Why we only desinged walls in front of castle and not around whole city?

Master Architect: Money, dear boy. We spent nearly all money for this huge and wonderful Elrath's Statue. Isn't it glourious? Besides, Angels and Elrath himself will protect us.

Apprentice: Master, we forgot about common people housing! Where would they live?

Master Architect: In cathedral, praying to Elrath, where else? You don't need places for common folks to live or farmlands... Our cities don't need this kind of... non-glourious cityscapes.

Apprentice: I don't know master. I have a bad feeling about this.

There are some really strange things going on in the image. The buildings in front seem smaller than those in the back, which is opposite of what perspective would dictate. The walls that don't go around the city are just weird. And the grail statue, while not something we'll normally be bothered with, seems plain absurd.

The giant dragon in the background is truly hideous and utterly unrealistic. Also is the temple of elysium floating I hope not. Other then those problems I think the screen is better than academy's.

I agree that we need inhabitable dwellings. A bit better perspective and shadows. That Dragon is over the top and in contrast to every other structure and walls are not complete so its odd. But overall its much better then HVI. Considering what we could get this is acceptable, even good IMO.

We got no substantial changes which is why I'm disappointed. There's still half a wall, perspective didn't change, no people at all, no civilian buildings, giant elrath statue in the back..... We all complained about those and we're seeing them again in this supposedly retouched townscreen.

Well thank god for contructive criticism, without it this could've turned out a whole lot worse.

EDIT: For some reason i find the mountains being closer to the city to make more sense.
Now there's too much pointless scenery, if such a thing is even possible.

And you'd think the one place protective walls wouldn't be as necessary would be alongside the ravine.

Exactly the same theme as Academy:
-waterfalls
-buildings are facing the same way
-"suspended buildings", only now they are on terraces rather than flying islands
-the whole city is standing near a chasm
-the same city structure, i.e it spans on height rather than width
-lack of civilian/decor buildings

The Grail looks horrible and covers half of the townscreen, lacks fortifications all sides but the one that doesn't need them (the rift/chasm) The right side of the city is practically cut out from the rest, the town itself has a severe lack of infrastructure. Building massive structures on unstable ground on the edge of a chasm is a bad architectural choice.

And now a building-to-building breakdown.

RESOURCE SILO - This is where we place our harvest.
Coincidentally, it is also the first place to be raided when we're at war.
The people who live here are giants.

HORSE STABLES - Not much to say here.

JUSTICAR'S TOWER - The city planner seem to have as much respect for these renowned warriors as some of their most outspoken critics,
seeing as they have to live next to the stables.

CASTLE - Is not really a castle at all (but ssh, don't tell anyone ).

MARKETPLACE - Traders from all over the world who aren't bothered with our extreme religious motifs come here to trade.
It's right there - behind the wall and [Marketplace] label - in all its detailed glory.

HALL OF HEROES - The Hall of Heroes (not to be confused with the Hall of Glory, look we really like towers and halls okay?) is where merc—
loyal, patriotic heroes are recruited.
Those we don't like we chuck out the door and into the nearest town portal.

TOWN PORTAL - Naturally there is no easy way to access the town portal.
Urban planning is for chumps. Besides, kids were throwing rocks into it.

TRANSEPT OF ELYSIUM - We have no idea what any of that means, it just sort of appeared one day.
If you have anymore info on this , please tell.

CATHEDRAL OF LIGHT - No, that's not the convent, silly. The convent is over there, up on that hill.
Two of our most beloved and inspiring buildings, they are of course placed between rapid streams, the thieves guild (that doesn't exist),
the BEAST DEN and a frickin' gorge.
Doesn't that just scream 'light' to you?

BEAST DEN - Our wolves live like horses.

THIEVES GUILD - What are you talking about? There is no thieves guild.
I only see a perfectly undetailed waterfall. Moving on...

EMBASSY - This is where the important folks of the people we tolerate like are housed.
Also, the building next to it is not a thieves guild but a gentlemen's club.
Also, it doesn't exist.

MARKSMAN TOWER - Our marksmen receive training here by taking potshots at pidgeons and other undesirables.
They're sworn to guard this building with their very lives in the event of a siege.
They are some times allowed to use the artillery range when the cannoneers doesn't use it for target practice.

CHORAL OF BELIEVER - A statue. It explores the relationship between postmodern discourse and football chants.

MAGIC GUILD 4 - Houses the magically gifted. They would have to be, because math obviously isn't one of their strong suits.
I only counted 3 buildings.
They have a friendly rivalry with the alchemist lab.

BLACKSMITH - Our blacksmiths are very large. Large like horses, one might say.

ALCHEMIST LAB - While it may look like an inn, this is were our alchemists brew their various potions.
In accordance with regulations, parts of it lacks any for of windowing since alchemists prefer to work with portable light sources when they handle volatile stuff.

PROVING GROUND - It's a common mistake to make but the proving ground is not that cathedral looking building.
In actuality it is that arena looking...arena.

ELRATH'S INFINITE MERCY - A constant looming threat to our well-being. We're at its mercy, basically.
This large expensive statue somehow bolsters our economy, I guess because of tourism.

GARRISON - This durable building protects our troops, who of course are more important than the entire city infrastructure.
In order to become a guard, you have to make it up the stairs to second level.

HALL OF GLORY - It is called that because the view you have of the Elrath statue is simply glorious.

CAPTIOL - The capitol is hidden away safely within the walls of this surrounding castle.
This is where we make decisions and store what's left after that Elrath acquisition.
Few people ever enter or leave this place as they never bothered to build a second set of stairs.

CHAMPION GUARD TOWER - As a kick to the non-existent balls of the Justicars, the champion guards has their tower proudly positioned near the capitol.
On the shadow side of the mountain but still.

ARTILLERY RANGE - The artillery range consist of two levels, by no means connected to one another.
The upper level makes cannons that are highly immobile due to the logistic problem.
The lower level is where said cannons are tested.
The wolves at the beast den just love that.

CONVENT OF ELRATH - No convent, uh, comment.

perspective seems like twisted. enterance way seems just gets interrupted with marketplace, which is wrong in city planning. the bridge shows us a direction but it breaks as soon as you walk several meters.

nearly no housing, doesnt feel alive. same problem with academy town.
by the way, comparing size of a wall tower and another building, buildings seem like out of scale. wall tower looks too small, or other buildings are too big.. etc etc. one can find many examples in this topic. unrealistic.

and i have to say that dragon statue is way too big and it is really looking in wrong spot of the town. make it smaller and put it to an important place. things like this, monumental things, should be in most important spot or it should show the most important spot with its influence. making statue bigger is the worst way to creating this influence, definetly not an architectural approach.

coming to biggest problem, THIS TOWN DOESNT HAVE ANY PROTECTION IN 3 DIRECTION!

my advise is, make some houses between acctual game-play buildings(or districts like military-district) to create distance and make it feel more alive and clearer to eye at the same time. this will also make the town field to grow wider which is again is a nice thing if you really think about it. middle-age looking cities, esspecially human towns-cities tend to create an horizontal effect, not vertical effect. the way it looks now is like it is canned in a few land piece. also not to forget, please make walls and towers to cover whole city!

i understand the complications with creating a town screen(as i am currently working on my town screen too) i get that you guys try to make it readable to eye, i understand that you want to see the  front of the city gate and the city itself at the same time but its not loking good and its pushing limits too hard at a big cost. let go of this idea or just expand city itself to horizon with space filler houses(farm-houses can work well outside of cty walls). its okay to see some buildings smaller, especially if they are not clickable game-play buildings. also use this to create a beautiful city silhouette(if i were you i would be using windmills too). i dont know who is working on town screens, but i urgently advise them to examine city silhouettes and acctual realistic middle age architectural construction technics(as a beginning i suggest looking to generally rome technics + greek acropolis silhouette for haven).

i really dont want to point out every mistake in structers but you should know that it has really big flaws. im pretty much sure that your artist/artists dont have enough architectural knowladge. find an architect or learn about architecute. please.

side note: i imagined wolf theme as a darker theme. i expected a gothic approach. if i were you, i would be also looking into acctual atmosphere the town has. too hopeful and happy in my opinion.
