Not sure if someone had brought this up yet.
I watched the twitch vod last night and am pleased with the town screen. It is much brighter and smoother than before.
However, i noticed that they stop showing the animation of a building appearing when you build them.
You build a building, then it will stay in the same page, when you go back to the town screen, the building is already there. It is difficult to figure out what i have just built sometimes.
This is a very awkward feeling. I guess they want to show you the new town level and new buildings unlocked, but please make it like after you've close the construction page, the buildings appear like they used do in the previous games.

I think that's more a quirk of the pre-beta build. They might add the transitions later, or they might be in the actual beta build.

1) Again, does nobody else see the smaller side portals next to the town portal gate? Is it REALLY so hard to envision that the advanced magical society might travel from floating island to floating island through, y'know, advanced magical means? Why walk when you can teleport?
2) How the flip is the current design able to be "walked around"? Oh, that super-tiny ledge that maybe one soldier pressed right up against the wall might very slowly shuffle across in a manner that completely exposes themselves to projectiles - specifically, advanced magic projectiles? Yeah, that's TOTALLY a threat to the city of floating islands... that you complain are not connected to each other through conventional means (that any invading army can freely use). >_>

Guys, why is that I see in the main Heroes7 topic that Minastir is the one who posted last time here, but i can't see his post??

the biggest, most important change is that it now fills up the screen rather than waste two centimeters on each side and it removes a lot of unnecessary clutter like unused islands floating around and somesuch. Now why did that building behind the portal get so shy all of a sudden?

Obviously they'll show up as the city grows.

It's hard to tell with the interface bar in the stream, but comparing the "no town portal yet" area with the "all buildings" townscreen, I think the town portal island was removed in favour of adding a large attacked plateau on the main island. The building behind the portal looked to be on such a plateau in the original design, albeit much smaller.
