Campaign question (Lysander)

Please help me! How to complete the second mission of the first campaign? The monsters are too strong and besides grow every week. And medusas kill my heroes with their magic.
What to do? My 4 heroes are 14 level guys and rather cool but they are no match for minotaurus and nightmares.

Obviously since he mentions nightmares. My strategy in the Lysander campaign was to fire away with ranged units (I gave Lysander a crossbow) and then use Lysander to charge the enemy, using Proetho to heal as necessary.

...if the ultimate hero you mention is Worton and is the very last thing you have to do, you have to take over the town they keep talking about, and only SOlmyr can go through.

I think he means Lysander. He has to go through alone. When I did it, though, and was about to kick Worton's scrawny ass, he fled. Nice going, 3DO. Took some of the fun out of it, if you ask me. Now I had to go back again to the last red town, and kill Worton and his puny army with my entire group of heroes and angels.

I really would expect 3DO to prevent a possibility like that from occuring.

But oh well, it's not like I didn't complete the campaign or anything, the epilogue just didn't fit that well after beating Worton in a town with a couple of monks and crossbowmen...

Play well

maybe I shouldn't have posted that guide in the other forum =P

Yet again, I'll point to this thread in Library of Enchantment forum *cough*theonesetupforstrategydiscussions*cough* (my, quite a long cough!):

IMHO if you have trouble on the second map of the first campaign, its time to redo the first map.

Tar, you won't be able to do the 2nd part of the lysander campaign with 4 level 14 characters as i was in the same position as you.  You will have to replay the 1st scenario and get you characters up to about level 18,19 and then it is really easy.  I personally think this is a major fault of the game because firstly a lot of people are going to have to replay the 1st part again and after i had finished the tasks in the 1st scenario i had to send my characters around the map for ages fighting wandering stacks over and over again just to max out their stats so that i could complete the 2nd scenario.

Hmm, i had no probs at all to finish the 2nd scenario, i dint have lvl 18-19 characters, no need for it.
Just gather all cash you can get your hand on, dont choose the xp, better to choose cash, that way you can go back and recruite new troops time to time. Crusaders better then monks they hit twice, you will need that for sure.

Focus on skills like Melee, Offence and healing and you will have no probs, visit all fountains etc..all help you can get are good

good luck

Um, some of the maps in the Lysander campaign doesn't allow for huge armies, so you largely have to depend on your heroes. I wont (didn't) waste days or weeks sending one unit back to fetch 4 crusaders all the time. So take the xp if it'll give you a level-up.

I struggled a lot with those battles on the second map, and a lot is determined by combat strategies (believe me, I tried dozens)

But I see the reason in the argument that if you finish the first map "to soon" (read: play it well), you're punished for it in the second map.

But don't give up, use Proetho for what he's worth, and chingalingajazzboomboycot, knowwhatImean, ey, ey, saynomore, saynomore, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, ey, ey...

Play well

Map

It's the one where you land on the beach and there are two walls to separate you from the blue and orange castle.

I cant find the blue or orange "gatekeeper" anywhere

Let the blue stuff be
you cant get in there because the blue tent is behind the walls.

So go directly to the other side to the orange castle
kick whoever is in that castle out of it
and youve won

Dont matter if you loose a hero during that fight
Cause if you conquer, that castle victory is yours.

Feeling a bit stupid here, I just asumed I had to find an orange tent as I were asked to find the blue when trying to get in there. Will test it at once :-)
