I'm confused - chronology of Heroes 5-6-7
is Heroes M&M 7 is it sequel or prequel?

It's a sequel to heroes 6, but a prequel to heroes 5. I forget where the time went, but when I get it I will show you when the story takes place exactly.

It's rather easy if you look at it like this:
Heroes V ~ 6th Eclipse
Heroes VI ~ 2nd Eclipse
Heroes VII ~ 4th Eclipse

H6 - 400 years before H5(2nd Eclipse)
H7 - 100 years before H5(4th Eclipse)

4th Eclipse - Falcon’s Last Flight
A Total eclipse. This time, the Demons storm the capital of the Falcon Empire and massacre the royal house.
(Heroes 7) - As soon as the Demons are repelled, fighting breaks out as the various noble houses attempt to claim the throne. Duke Ivan of Griffin conquers the bloody crown. The Empire is renamed the ‘Holy Griffin Empire’.

Thought they said there would be no eclipse.
At least not until the Inferno-including expansion (if the game sells well) that is.
EDIT: Oh, it already happened.
It's gonna be far more difficult once HVIII is announced.
Like, will it take place between H5 and H6, between H6 and H7, or both???

The eclipse has already happened, a few years before the events of H7 I believe. And yeah, dragon Gods do not interfere all that much. Kind of lame really.
