The new Titan is actually one of the few things Ubisoft has done right. Although I'd change the blue color into lime green (just because I love the green color), this new version is far better than the other ones.

As Avonu has posted, DoC has quite a few different Titans and majority of them look great. I especially like some of them that have Towers and Buildings at their Shoulders and Heads.

I just love Shantiri Titan and Sentinel of the Ages... maybe because they are ancient constructs* from age before current timeline.

*At least Sentinel name sounds like that kind of creature.

For me always were Heroes 4 ones!
one of my favourite units of all time!

as for Heroes7 some arts of DoC look simply stunning!
would have loved if developers choose one of them instead of what we got

I think I actually may like the H2 Titan the most; they're a happy medium between "just a guy" and "rock monster",
they actually have a face and I love their death animations They sound cool too.

All the rest have ranged from good to passable, Ubisoft's including, which is pretty good, all things considered.

Personally I loved both H2 & H3 models. H7 could make to that list, if they tone down those glows.

H4 wasn't bad, but I wouldn't rate them on the same level of h2 & h3

I love everything in H2 model except the lightning. It would be laughed to death if they ever incorporate something that silly in a modern graphics game. (lke srsly, wtf is that supposed to be?)

Agreed, I think overall style is ok, just don't make the same mistake they did with H6 Necropolis. Like Minion showed, sometimes less is more, also when it comes to glows.

My biggest concern is that I find the Titan and the Golem too similar in style, I think that's a bit boring, they look essentially like the same unit just in different sizes.

As far as I know there are various artists who create cards for DoC.
As for Titan itself here is link to its artwork and probably author.

Why, it's a thunderbolt; "a symbolic representation of lightning when accompanied by a loud thunderclap".

H2's creatures seem very inspired by heraldry.
It's also why some creatures like griffins and dragons stand on their hind legs.

I actually wondered why they elevated Golems to Elite...Golems always were the legion on wizards they build their armies. Also I find their design a bit outlandish(cough...spacemarine), the gargoyle however looks like it should be elite.

As for the Titan, I am curious about their animations, especially their hit animation. At the moment I imagine it to look like it will fall apart when hit and crumbles to its pieces when it dies like some statue held together by magnetic force that suddenly disapears. It would give it a more consuct like feel unlike the greek god feel it had untill now.

Did I miss something? When and where were Golems put into the Elite rank? Not that I would not like that, in fact I would like it very much, but I really can't recall hearing such an information from anywhere.

Not sure it was revealed but going by the screenshots golem was Huge while gargoyles tiny in comparison.

No, he wasn't huge. Units in those pictures aren't finished. We have literally one picture with both Golems and Gargoyles, and Golems are smaller than Humans(!) and Gargoyles look like small Goblins with wings.
Swordbearer and Horseman look like giants when compared to both Golem and Gargoyle.
So we are pretty sure that size is not final and that those units aren't finished yet.

And why wouldn't Golem be an elite? Now when we have different tiers, it doesn't mean that Golem is going to be a lot stronger or something if we place him in Elite tier, because I doubt that Core tier Golem will have more HP than Disciples and I really don't like that.
Anyway, I seriously doubt it that Golems are going to be Elite, as Academy's lineup is perfectly redistributed by their roles:
Core - Cabri(shooter), Gargoyle(flyer), Golem(tanky walker)
Elite - Disciple(shooter), Djinn(flyer), Rakshasa(tanky walker)

Yes from what we know so far, both Gargoyle and Golem are core. I would actually have prefered to have the Golem and Colossus/Titan merged into one unit, because after all, what is the Colossus if not a huge animated creature which is exactly the same as a Golem. This would allowed us to have a really big bad-ass Golem and would also have opened up the Academy line-up to some more new and interesting creatures.
