Demonist: I have no idea why the pyromancer keeps complaining

Demon barman: Oh about demons being mad that he murders everything before they reach combat?

Demonist: Yeah at least they are mad at him and know he that he is  around people don't even know I exist! No one picks my class! I mean a Demonist has his or her uses.

Demon Barman:Well what can you do?

Demonist: Well I can link a stack with a gated one and the main unit takes a reduction in damage! Oh and I can send away a unit for a turn and they come back reinforced! Those sound great! Plus I am awesome at defensive spells.

Demon Barman: Oh really now? Well you do lack "flash" so to speak I also recall if your abyss gate is destroyed you lose your whole unit that's pretty bad. I also heard the pyromancer spells also damages stuctures along with earth magic that's pretty potent I imagine the armies don't even get a chance to attack the walls.

Demonist: Well yes that can happen, But! My abilities are still useful I have no idea why the other demons don't recognize them! He just renders creatures and walls to nothing at least I can keep the army alive!

Demon Barman:Hmm I see.. Wait who exactly are you again?

Demonist:

I voted Dungeon, which is surprising considering Inferno was my main faction in H5. I greatly enjoyed the tactical aspect of the faction, even if the story and character aspect of the faction wasn't the great.

Basically boils down to taste. I just don't have much appetite for another bland assortment of creatures on fire. If you added some more character to the faction, like the imperialistic feel of the Kreegan of H3, then I'd be game for an Inferno faction, but we already know that there's going to be continuity with H6 and H5.

I'm not that crazy about dark elf dungeon either, but I'll take them.

edit: so far, every vote on the H7 site has gone my way

when i think about line-up voting it worries and thrills me in the same time..

will be extremely hard for Dungeon if they for instance split best creatures into different line-ups
however not worried about Minotaurs and Dragons, they are going to be in every line up for sure

as for inferno if they do win i'd expect a lot of random creatures
of my dislike.
Heroes6 just destroyed my sympathy to that faction with "bright" ideas like breeders, tormentors, maniacs. and cerberus with 2 HEADS..
pfff.. i really wish they are not going to win

no cerberus in greek mythology(where he came from originally) is a three headed beast. sorry:/
as for the arguments cleg makes, shame indeed. i'm all for people liking different stuff, but when a reasonable argument is presented, either listen to it and counter it with something more reasonable or just say " i don't care i like this." is it that hard?

Upvoted and commented on your analysis there Cleglaw, those were some very good posts. Shows the implication of Inferno voters while most Dungeon voters voted on a whim.

Sadly most Clegaw is probably one of the few Inferno supporters who bothers to be reasonable. Others are voting of a whim or just because they hate elves... im actually suspectng if there would be strong confirmaton that there are only going to be 1-2 elven units, some of them would be switching votes.

Also a fun fact, since elves are popular in fantatsy, then dungeon is actually reinforced by elven fans. Although im not sure in what numbers.

I'm cool with Elves in small quantities. Thing is, Ashan's got an overabundance of 'em.
That and they kind of take away from my ideal Dungeon.

I suspect this to be the case as well. Just as Dungeon voters likely contain many Demon-haters and people who are tired of Inferno being the bad-guy all the time.

Which is why campaigning is rather pointless, since it is doubtfull that this will change enough people's minds to make a significant difference. (As much fun as it is to do anyway.)

I don't understand why there are 3 types of elves in Ashan: light, dark and sea. Maybe because making a new raced called "Dark human" would be racist You can have humanoids into a faction without painting them like a rainbow

Biologically speaking, they're all just Elves, only in different factions. And the Sea Elves are not even that, they're vagrants.
It's the same as Humans: you have Humans in Haven, Academy, and Necropolis. Not to mention the Free Cities.

There were 3 different kinds of elves in Enroth/Whatever the previous world was called. The wood elves of Avlee, dark elves of Jadame and the snow (practicaly high) elves of Vori.

The multitude of elven subraces is a common trope in fantasy (there are also multiple races of dwarves, gnomes, orcs, giants). If their number doesn't go over 2-3 then its actually pretty ok

And yeah... the reason why very few games ever make different races of humans or have the culture affect the stats of mechanics is caused from the fear of being branded racist.

I think i have said it already several times... i hope that Dungeon will be similar to academy. That there will be a dark elves as a central race, but only 1-2 dark elf units. Simlilar to academy? To be honest Academy is a human faction, just they have a different culture and only one human unit, but for all intents and purposes they are a mainly human faction.

So called Snow Elves (they call themselves "True Elves") and Elves from AvLee are the same kin - AvLee Elves are descendants of Vori Elves.

Not to mention all Elves on planet came from same the place - VARN from Enroth.

And that's how most of the elven subraces begin. There is some original race of elves, then some events happen that cause some of them split away. It can be cultural differences, adaption to different climate or magical transformation/corruption. The existence of two or more different species of elves right from the "beginning" is actually much rarer case.

And neither the Vori nor the Raddish Elves had their own factions in a Heroes game, thankfully.

And possibly Breeders, as they are at least mentioned.
I am a Dungeon voter but, if Inferno wins, I only have one thing to say:
