Where was that written? Caravans are making a comeback so global recruitment would be pointless. In terms of voting, I like caravans. They are perfect balance between "recruitment hero"(this was so annoying) and global recruitment (a little bit too easy).

@Pawek_13

Sadly i cant edit my first post so im gonna put link here

About town development

"The development chart of a town is similar to that of Heroes V, since it adds a global “town level” requirement for building new content in addition to classic resource needs and building dependencies. For instance, to build a level 2 Magic Guild, you may not only need a level 1 Magic Guild and the necessary resources, but also to lift your town to global level 12, unlocking new buildings."

Voted: Do not want it.

Having a recruitment hero was a bonus tertiary skill from the Leadership's Secondary Skill category of learnable skills in MMH5.

Having the Captain like City hero might enhance the ability to slightly hire more troops when, the City's military establishment is at Castle level. Who knows, the Captain of the guard might gain experience if, his/hers garrison successfully repel a siege attack.

This game will have to be experienced fully after release in order to determine the many hidden extra features the devs. included in the core of this newest title of MMHeroes.

I think that this poll isn't getting useful data because people are answering different questions. It's basically just saying that certain buildings require you to have made a certain number of total buildings before you can build them. So you can't just build up your mage guild five levels in five days or level your village hall all the way to a capitol without building some dwellings or something in the interim.

Frankly, it's a pretty minor declaration. It means that you won't be able to build some of the higher level stuff until Day X, which in turn means that you're going to necessarily build a bunch of your low level stuff in the first week.

It has absolutely nothing to do with global recruitment pools like Heroes 6 or Caravans like Heroes 4 or anything else. It's just a "you can't build your capitol in the first week, so build some dwellings right after you upgrade the village hall."

I voted for "i dont want it".

Personally, i dont see point in making "strategy" with these kind of restrictions. Why i have to wait days and days for second magic guild? Or why i have to wait for 12 days to build an elite creature building to recruit them? This also leads to certain town build paths which will again cause some serious issues.

1-Balance.
2-No matter what kind of game im in, i may do exact same path. This doesnt feel alive and strategic. No choice, no analysis need. Dull, therefore boring.

With four resources named (adjective)(noun), there is no chance whatsoever that you'll always end up producing things in the same order. If you don't have enough shadowsteel or whatever (adjective)(noun) you need for your favorite building to produce on day 9, you'll have to produce something else that day.

It basically just means that some buildings can only be produced in week 2 or later and others only in week 3 or later. That's it. It's just a formalization of some of the development demands of earlier parts of the series.

Voted yes, it can make for an interesting and immersive detail.

Also, "global town level" doesn't mean strictly a set number of buildings to do before you can build your desired structure, I believe they want to make it so that some buildings give more levels than another one.

So to make a mage guild level 2 you need to have built from 4 to 8 structures for example.

But until further confirmations, this is just a speculation...

Is another factor that helps to differentiate gameplay between factions.

Extract from the official site
"For instance, Academy towns have access to Magic Guilds earlier, and can develop specific buildings to improve their Magic Guilds.

Haven towns have fast access to the strongest possible walls. Stronghold towns offer dwellings before more elaborate buildings."

In MMH6 it felt to me that there were too many similarities between factions. I don't want to play the orcs the same way I play Haven

While it may make sense from an immersion aspect, I don't want it for a gameplay aspect. Implementing such a level requirement means you are denied options. It restricts the way you can develop your town and it's my experience that denying options to a player is usually more detrimental than not. What does it bring in the form of town development strategy? It only takes.
