That's the paradox indeed, Fury is new while Tree Island isn't.

Fury is basically the same lineup as in Heroes V, where Nymph and its upgrades are split into Pixie and Dryad, and the only change is Deer (which is still not that new in Sylvan) on place of Unicorns. It seems that Heroes V nostalgia is strong in most voters in Shadow Council.

Yeah both Academy & Sylvan are basically the same as in Heroes V, it just shows they were greatly missed by players from Heroes VI.

We never voted on Academy though.
And saying that Fury is what "The People" want, might be taking things too far.

@Pawek : It is true that the Treant/Dryad + Bladedancer combo is very HV-ish. Deer should stay in CoH where it belongs IMO, he's no match for the Unicorn.

I know, I will miss Unicorns in Sylvan. They were one of epitomes of this faction (and its predecessors). There is still hope that they will be Sylvan heroes' mounts, though.

They should appear as Elite tier neutrals anyway.
With Blind, I don't see anymore reason why they should need that magic aura protection anymore if they're out of the Town.

Only if they don't intend adding them in future expansions.

I'm suggesting that they do to Elite and Core what they did to Champion tiers.
Give you 1 more choice than you're able to build. So give every town 4 cores, 4 elites and 2 champs, but only let them build 3 cores, 3 elites and 1 champ.
Building destruction is already confirmed and I've been saying that 7 units is too little for the roster Heroes has built up over the years, this seems a great thing for an expansion.

In other words, the H4 system optimized. Goes without saying how great such feature would be.

Exactly, but if Unicorns were already neutrals, we might not get them anymore. Chances are low, but that's not the kinda chance I wanna take with something as Iconic as the Unicorn.

Indeed, my assumption was that it might not happen. I'd be interested to know if Marzhin or Kimmundi would have any insight on the matter.

We know that they're not planning on any expansions ATM. They're busy enough with Vanilla as is. Expansions would depend on the sales of Vanilla. Though they may have played around with the concepts.
Thing is, if Unicorns might become neutrals, or even Sylvan alligned neutrals in HIV style, it might prove difficult in giving them upgrades and retooling it as a unit, never mind what kinda nerfs/buffs they'd have to give it, which might play havoc with both code and balance.

Voted Tree Island.

It is not silly. Since, the notion of it being on an island is justified by having it in a mere lake and, not a sea nor, an ocean.

The surrounding water, acts as a natural early protection against all natural predators and, later on, as an internal moat instead of being just outside the walls of the Castle's walls. Putting the protective walls on the island would suggest the lack of will of the devs. at letting the City expand on the main land.

Which brings me to this question: Once the whole territory is cleared out of neutrals and, that the mines are all flagged + outer creature dwellings, can that faction's workers allowed to build any of the kingdom's supplemental buildings or points of interests reserved to that specific faction? That would add to implement more imperial influence onto the neighboring territories. Making sense at promoting growth of the acquired territories' Forts' towns.

Both are good.

I am having hard time accepting the Tree as a Capitol because Sylvan are one of the biggest nations in Ashan. I'd assume their population to be too vast to live on trees but oh well, they are just not that densely populated not a bid deal.

Oh, real estate wise, it's one of the silliest places you could build a town that houses any decent-sized population In terms of a military fort, a small island or forked river is a natural location. Point to any forked juncture in a major river on a world map and there's a good chance a military fort was there at some point in history.

We can just pretend that inside the hollowed roots underneath the lake, there are densely populated piles of random woodland creatures stacked on top of each other in slum conditions, selling cheap alcohol fermented from acorns and dumping their garbage in the water.

That's nice for a fortified position, but not for a (large) city. Also, the water creates something of a natural barrier to the surrounding area, setting the Elves apart from that surrounding area - which by definition should be a forested area with its flora and fauna. The very notion of basing a city on such an island goes in against the philosophy of living in harmony with nature, as they distantiate themselves from it. In the Sanctum, they live right in the middle of the forest, amidst the very nature they want to live in harmony with.
