I imagined two artifacts that I think would be extremelly cool and game changing (good for custom templates...).
1. Pendant of Fire and Ice - during battle only would grant total expertize of Fire and Water.
2. Archmage's Robe - combined artifact, requires the four orbs plus the Orb of Vulnerability and the Cape of Silence. When equiped player can cast all spells he knows, whatever limitation artifacts enemy may carry apllies only to himself. This artifact would make Recanter's Cloack and Red Orb way less trustable on MP and allow to circunvent situations on custom maps where an hero that can never be beaten without exaustion tactics got them by mistake of the mapmaker (it happened in a map I'm working on...).

I don't know if that has been proposed already, but Eagle Eye skill could work on the adventure map when an enemy hero uses an adventure spell (Summon Boat, Disguise, Vision, View Air...).

Lodstar sucks, it's ok if you are the only player starting with Cove and there is no other town of this alignment in the map but if not... Imagine if you build grail in Conflux and now everyone who has a Conflux town gets all spells. Yeah, but that's exactly what Lodstar does, all neutral armies of Cove and any Cove creatures your enemies may get have the same bonus you have.
The bonus has to be related to faction, can't be for all Cove creatures on the map.

"Week of ressource"
which generates a few random ressources on the adventures map, instead of monsters

Now I don't know if that will be updated for the upcoming 1.5, but here I go:

So I recently tested all of the background sounds for every creature dwellings in the adventure map.
All of the Armageddon's Blade's neutral creature dwellings, Magic Lantern, Altar of Thought and Pyre use same sound file like Swordsman's Barracks.
In my opinion, all of those need to have an original sound or that some of them may use one that exist in another one, like Sharpshooter can use Archer's or Elf's or something.

What are you thinking about:

1. new ability of range attack for archers - not 1 hex but few - something like Fireball/Inferno spell (dmg inflicting friends & foes) ?

2. Fire Elementals +100% dmg to Dendroids & Vulnerable to water.

I'm making a Huge map from scratch. It contains a structural base that can't be achived by rmg templates, yet it is almost a template: what makes it hard can be repeated in many other maps.
I have been finding some limitations to what I want to do, so I'm reiterating some previous proposals.

1. Treasure objects would work much better if they were revisitable every month.

2. More secondary skill slots would help (Baronus ).

3. At least some type of Arcane Tower, allowing you to trade place of primary skills points, better yet a way of trade primary skills for money or resources. There is no greather fun killer then to have your level fifty hero avoiding libraries and trees because you are affraid of exceeding the 128 limit on your best skill. Another way could be simply increase the size of the variable, keeping the 99 value as real limit for the strength of the skill but allowing for an increase up to 256 hidden points.

4. Market of Time. Possibly the one I've been advocating for: requires all slots fill, only expert skills can be forgotten and costs at least 20.000 of gold.*


*For AI, I would make a list of skills with a priority ranking and search for the one with hier priority, if it doesn't exists look for the one hero has that has the lower priority and substitute it with the one missed, repeat only until you have the 'necessary' skills (Wisdom, Earth, Logistics, Air...). While the lists will have to be quite arbitrary, I think there is a consensous about what are the minimum skills for an hero to be worthy and what are the worst he could get, so this would work.
Ops, it also needs some exceptions for specialties, like Sanya's Eagle Eye and Kinqueria's Learning...

I always use 10 skills in Era, what about a working Sagamosa-like skill tree in Hota?

This would be more of a complete upgrade of the skill system altogether though.

One remark, AI already screws heroes development with the skills available, complex skill levels will require carefull AI treatment.

New Map Objects:
Arboreal Keep - Fights 2 stacks of Pixies/Sprites, 2 Stacks of Wood/Grand Elves and 1 Stack of Faerie Dragons for a reward(gold, resources, artifacts).

City of The Dead - Fights 2 stacks of Mummies, 1 stack of Liches/Power Liches, 1 Stack of Gold Golems and 1 Stack of Bone Dragons for a reward(gold, resources, artifacts).

Barrow Mounds - Fights 1 Stacks of Wights, 1 Stacks of Wraiths, 2 stacks of Ghosts(new unit) and 1 stack of Ghost Dragons. for a reward. Afterwards, you can recruit Ghosts every week and can convert every monster to Ghosts (except from Dragons/Sea Serpents which are converted to Dragons).

Sagamossa mod is very good idea but it needs ERA. I write about something easier.
I thought about 10 skill levels each 10% to ability. Eg. 10lvl logistic bonus 100% movement. 28 skills x 10 lvl = 280 lvls. Hero can learn 10 x 8 = 80 lvls.
And maybe 4 skills to choice not 2. It will be better for character development strategy.
And its right realy primary skill limit is 255 (because 0 is too lvl). Its hexdecimal value ff = 16 x 16.
Problem is with reserved area in skill menu area. Must bee biggest.
So 255 primary and 80 secondary skills levels for hero!

Wrong thread, as I don't think they want to create Heroes 8 but only fix what can be fixed in H3. Or the number of skills are irrelevant in H3, you can be level 1 and still get one hundred of various and challenging battles. Thats why no big modders worked on additional skills, people never asked for such thing.

Well they did add a lot of content and did more than mere "fixing", possibly they could do it if they want to, but it is true altering the skill system this much is allegedly out of their scope.
