just joking around LOL. i role played... like GenyaArikado.

i agree with you guys. its like expecting a dragon without wings.. or expecting hydra with one head.

Actually, there are more dragon species without wings in mythology (kuch kuch the famous Peluda) than there are dragons with wings :-p

D&D made dragons just wingy, but most of those dragons from D&D don't have roots in mythology, talkingabout the chromatic and metallic dragons.

Speaking of Age of Mythology, that's a major reason I never picked Dionysus as my third god.

well at least it will grow heads after awhile, there we go.

Uh, i dont know, there should be some certain identifications for creatures that was what im trying to say. wingless dragons.. do they still feel like dragons? to me they just turn to lizards with special attacks... or cerberus to have three heads, its the 3-headed dog i mean when you take one head it becomes something else... but if you can take wings from dragons and if its okay, then this should also justify the presence of 2-headed cerberus when you take 1 head away.

As for mentioning that "not all myth monsters should be 100% taken into the game"... well, the very first thing that came to mind was the rather liberal interpretation of "Cerberus" in H6.

Actually the number of heads of the cerberus varies even in the original myths.
from what I've read he was sometimes really only depicted with 1 or 2 heads, but sometimes he got depicted with 50 or even 100 heads.

Its just that 3 was the most common depiction and is nowadays almost exclusively used for the cerberus.

That didn't work in 2012, believe me, I've tried, and it won't be accepted now.

Cerberus is so overused anyway, today we have more original dog monsters on our plate (I can dream)

The Green Nature Dog Cu Sith.

The White dogs of the Wild Hunt called Cwn Annwn.

The black dog/black shuck named Barghest that brings bad luck, terror and despair everywhere it goes, seeing it means you die soon.

And if you wanna use a one-headed Cerberus, just call it Garmr/Garm then. The norse had their own guarding dogs of hell, and they mostly had only one head and were covered in blood.

Anyone asked for a winged Dog/Wolf? Try the Belgian shapeshifting horror named Kludde

And if you just don't have enough humanoids in your life and still want them doggy-like try the Cynocephaly.

"Less used" does not translate into "original".
Besides, if you want one-headed canines, then the wolf should suffice

PS: Kludde is such a cute name.
It rhymes with Ludde, a Swedish children's book series.

I'm sorry, but these are among my favorite mythology monsters, especially Cu Sith, if you don't find them at least a bit interesting, I think you should crawl back to your Wolverine, Scorpion, D&D Dragon, Soccer, Football, Ryu & Ken type of life.

Originality is just not made for you then.

Kludde in Dutch means -  A Mess, much like in painting when all colors went together in the end and only a big gray/brown mess is left on the plate.

And NO THANK you, I always hated they went with the normal wolf in HOMM games, like that is needed with so many cool wolf and dog monsters to pick from in mythology.

What most people find classic I find utterly overused and boring.

People are like sheep, they blindly follow the herd, and the herd loves the most obvious picks like Wolverine, Dragons, Ryu...

Its so utterly predictable...

None of the creatures you posted are more original, they're just less used is what I was trying to get across.

Manticores are already in Dungeon, though they weren't voted in.

And no, they were not created by wizards, they are a magical compound creatures as are for example the Griffins
