@Verriker: Yea, that looks photoshopped but, hey, just aggravated me further that's..

...all.

Say, anyone seen the box I described above? Just curious.

Besides, I have posted a troubleshooting post in the Heroes 5 Forum in order to help a lot of players get their gaming going.

Heroes 5: Tribes of the East, for another 5 years, at least.

Just like in the Beast Wars and, the cat that transforms into a mini-cassette cried out: Decepticons(Heroes 5: T.o.t.E.), FOREVER!

Nope. It really says that it is entirely StandAlone Product(DVD) at the very bottom of the box's cover + the title is in gold lettering on a reddish background.
Not 12+ either. Teen with a big bad black capital T in a white box.
Probably the North America edition. I, really, do not know about your side of the story.

Although that isn't the exact same cover, it is nearly identical besides the emblems on the bottom and the wording that says "Stand Alone Product".

But, yes, it is the North American version with the T, and the European version uses PEGI instead of ERSB. However, the title and picture are the same.

However, on the great and powerful Amazon.com, I have found the cover you speak of. And, it INDEED says "Might and Magic" followed by "Heroes V" with "Tribes of the East" beneath it. My copy has the other look to it, with it saying Heroes of Might and Magic, but, yep, Luc's cover does indeed exist.

Behold.

Also... isn't this thread about Stronghold's line up, and not petty discourse over covers?

If the Unidentified Basilisk Object conspiracy is true, I'd very much like to see

Core:
Mauler-equivalent
Gnoll
Harpy
Elite:
Shaman (H5 prefered)
Basilisk
Centaur
Champion
Behemoth
Wyvern

Although I would love Cyclopes, seeing the Cyclops Catapult in H6 got me thinking, and with these Warfare units, it fits pretty well this way. Even still, I don't think a Behemoth and Cyclops could share the top tier, as they made the Cyclops pretty similar to Behemoth in form, being a giant meatball that smashes everything. One's just got laser vision from one eye, and the other is hairier.

If they can reconcile their differences between being a spicy meatball or covered in spaghetti, they could be terrible and say that a Cyclops upgrades into a Behemoth, as I have been rather disappointed with the naming of "Noun" to "Adjective Noun" or "Noun Noun", such as past Enraged Cyclops of Cyclops King.

And, honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing the Wyvern replaced with the Thunderbird either. I guess I just want a flying option for Stronghold, really.

Edit: Ninja'd by Galaad during my search.

Yes but you did find a larger pic
I deplore what Cyclopses have become. As you say, giant meatball. Funny they can't consider Forge yet they make Cyclopses shoot lasers
I think Cyclopses suffered horrible transformation because of this demon-blood thing, and it would indeed be less painful to see them converted as Warfare units if they are designed like in H5 and MMH6 again. No, I loved them back in H3, with the greek style going on. But Stronghold has become something different, and I must way that I'm expecting, full of hope, a new reskin to the faction.
Thunderbird/Behemoth combo as champion looks very good, offensive-wise fitting to barbarians. If Cyclops benefits a redesign, and have a little more class than their last appearances in Ubisoft games, I'd be thrilled to see them in Elite. If they are kept as giant meatballs (this expressions fits real nice), I like your Warfare idea, how outrageous it may sound at first glance.

Not necessarily, actually. I own two copies of the full Heroes5 lineup of games and expansions too. The reason is that I initially bought it stand-alone and sometimes after that I got the Heroes Complete Edition for my birthday, which included every Heroes of Might and Magic game released up until that point - including the full Heroes5 game and expansions.

Before I got that Complete Edition, I only owned the Armageddon's Blade expansion, the base game of Heroes4 and the full set of Heroes5. The rest was obtained "through other means" . So, yeah, now I own everything of the line legitimately, but I have a double set of Heroes5 as a result.

About Cyclops..

they could remain in their "meatball" form ALONGSIDE Behemoths, being two different varieties of damage-dealing tanks- like one focused on singular dmamage while the other having an area attack, or one being faster but with less damage/HP while the other being slower and bulkier. OR Cyclops shoudl return to being mostly ranged units, with Behemoths retaining the ultimate melee focus. But I think Stronghold should have an Elite flyer, not Champion. That'd be another unified line-up attempt:

Goblin
Mauler
Centaur (nomad-styled- with a camel lower-body, and wielding a scimitar)

Ogre (upgrade casts spells)
Gnasher
Wyvern

Behemoth
Cyclops

Cyclops should have the role of a ranged attacker. His eye laser is a must and he should be able to throw large boulders around. I do admit that a Cyclops would make for an awesome catapult during sieges, but I'd still rather much like to see them as a Champion unit.

I too support the idea of making cyclopses warfare units.
I wouldn't like the behemoth to kick the cyclops out, but if it is retained in the form of warfare unit then I will be celebrating the return of the behemoth with you guys
Making the behemoth a form of cyclops is also fine with me, but I think lots of old fans will be very disappointed when that happens.

Concerning your line-up: isn't the gnoll a mauler-equivalent?
My suggestion would be to put the centaur in core, freeing a spot in elite for an H5 slayer-like orc.

The line-up would then become:
Core:
Mauler-equivalent Centaur
Gnoll (= Mauler-equivalent)
Harpy
Elite:
Shaman (H5 preferred)
Basilisk rider
Centaur Orc/Ogre (as seen in this picture)
Champion:
Behemoth
Wyvern

So time to post my current dream image of stronghold's line-up.
My line-up will be based on the following facts, and reasonings.
Facts: There are some creatures that people really want back (Behemoth, Gnoll). In DoC, gnolls are associated with the Sahaara desert and the Sahaara orcs. Until proven otherwise I will take the basilisk rider as a legitimate unit.
Reasoning: There are some units from older stronghold line-ups that I feel that could be left out. Especially since they can be easily replaced.

So, Core units. In H6, Small orc, Harpy and Goblin were the core units. Some people would also like to see the centaur in this rank, and from the "units we would wish to see back" Gnoll fits this tier rather well. So from these 5 I would choose the following.
A Small orc in an orc town is something almost mandatory in my eyes. But do not confuse small with weak. The "Small orc" should be one of the most powerful core units, if not THE most powerful core unit, they are half demon humans after all.
On the other hand a unit that I feel that should take a game of is the Goblin, With Gnolls taking the spot of smaller ground units I don't see an open spot for them in my dream line-up. The only thing that could save them is, if they had mechanics linked to them similar to those they had in H5. It was a really nice feature.
As hinted the goblin could be replaced by the gnoll. Specifically a spear throwing jackall based gnoll based on the Sahaar skirmisher DoC card. As Stronghold should focus more on brute strength their un-upgraded version could be melee, and with the upgrade they would gain the ability to throw their spears.
Now to the Ladies, We have the harpy and the centaur. As much as I understand people who can see centaurs in core. They are half stead sentient creatures. Huge and deadly. They just fit the Elite tier in my opinion.
Harpies on the other hand fit Core really well and their ability to fly would give the line-up some kick.

So my current core line-up
Gnoll -> Gnoll Skirmisher
Brute -> Mauler
Harpy -> Fury

Elite line-up: From the older games we have a total of 4 potential creatures "Big orc", Shaman, Centaur, Wyvern.
I will take the leaked image of an orc riding an giant lizard as true. The idea and design is something i liked and in my opinion it fits the Sahaara theme. Thi unit in my eyes could easily replace the "Big orc" unit which is the most obsolete unit of the 4 I listed.
Second unit in my line-up would be the Centaur. Elite range unit is always welcomed, but I would not see them as the "strongest elite".
The final unit of my Elite roster would depend on the champion units. I can easily see the Wyvern->Pao-kai taking one of the champion spots, but at the same time I think the Shaman is one of those unit that could easily be left out or take the spot of a hero class. If the Shaman would be a unit, I would like to see them similar in style and gameplay to the H5 shaman.
And of course there is the option of a another, different unit being added.

So my current elite line-up
Lizard rider -> Basilsk rider
Centaur -> Centaur Mrauder
Shaman or Wyvern -> Pao-kai or something new

Now for the champions. The potential here is huge. From the established Cyclops, the wished for Behemoth, the ever tempting Olyphant, the Rokh/Thunderbird and the Wyvern Pao-Kai.
Let us start with the obvious ones, Olyphant and Thunderbird. As much as I would love to see the first, I don't think such a choice would be welcomed among the fans. I still dream about my Olyphant riding Cyclops cavalry shooting lasers but that is a dream for another day.
On the other hand Thunderbird would be welcomed, but with it's history in Ashan, being a major and rare spirit, I think the Thunderbird does not have it's place in stronghold for now. Sure nothing that can't be retconed but we have other options for now.
Now to the big guys, The cyclops was the champion for the last two games, but that does not mean it is set in stone that he will be in this one. The Meatball design did not do them much good, so I would prefer a more H5 approach if possible, but rather than that, I would not be repulsed by them substituting the catapult. And to be fair, the model for the Cylopse used as the Catapult in H6 looked much better then the the normal one.
That leaves us with Behemoth and Pao-kai. Both of these have something similar with one of the units mentioned above. First of all the Behemoth and Cyclops colide in the position of a big walking monster of pure power. Sure the Cyclops could have more roles as semi-range and support, but the Behemoth is more desired by the fans, and they have been hoping for it's comeback for some time. I can imagine both of them being in the game as champions, but if only one would make it, I money and hopes are on the Behemoth.
The Pao-kai on the other hand has a lot in common with the thunderbird, enough to fill it's spot. The unit also has a connection to the Stronghold lore, being somewhat ironic for orcs in ashan (not for us players) and having a connection to Father sky. I can see it in the game, but the question is Elite or Champion? If they would be champions, I then the Shaman could fill the last elite spot. But if we would get both Cyclops and Behemoth as a Champions, I can easily see them as elite

So my current champion line-up
Behomoth -> Ancient Behomoth
Cyclopse -> Enraged Cyclopse or Wyvern -> Pao-Kai

A very good analysis here
I myself am repulsed by the shooting laser thing from Cyclopses, and as I stated above I hate the design made to him in Ubi games, so if it's stays like that, I'm all for him being Warfare.
The Thunderbird, apart from the legendary status gained in H3, might seem a bit overkill with the Simurgh in Academy, and Dungeon and Haven have flying champions too.
So this last spot is tricky indeed, so from your thinking this is what I would do : Shaman as a class, and the flyer would be the top Elite (be it Thunderbird, Wyvern or Pao-kai etc) and the alternate champion to Behemoth could be another walker, with totally different abilities so that the choice will matter sufficiently. I don't have any idea right now for which unit it could be apart from the Cyclopses (even though I prefer him as a rock shooter).

Why are you repulsed by the laser beam from his eye? The Cyclops in H1 and H2 had a laser beam attack as well. It was absent in H3 and H4, that's true, but once again introduced as such in H5 and H6.
