Overrated and boring movie. It can not survive today. Yes, it got some screen time in the past, but it seems forgotten now... its not on the tv anymore, ppl on torrent do not drop new versions with different quality and etc... new generation do not seem interested.

I would object to Avatar, it was a nice film, but the theme was nothing new, hell just watch Disney's pocahontas and you'll get a better version of avatar right off the bat. It's a dumb down movie for the masses, which is a shame. A true classic is one that introduces an original idea that opens a new line of thought/perception, and not one that tries to ram propaganda down your throat.

You are of course entitled to your opinion however i totally disagree, i believe it will be regarded as a classic in the future. So objection overruled

Hold your horses lad, your disagreement was totally obvious, after all, I objected to what you said. My point was not for you, but for others who will either agree with me or disagree. The reason it was not for you, is because you failed to state the actual reasons why you consider Avatar to be a classic, thus your opinion is just that, an opinion, without any indiciation of reason in either post.

That is not good enough, you have to state why it would be a classic, it is slightly harder with a recent release as you have to hypothesise, but then it is all the more important to actually give your reasoning.
