Restoration of Erathia didn't have random map generator, and I doubt that they will include it.

I looked on this piture again and again....

Better picture size is here

...and something wasn't right with Black Dragon for me.
Not the new graphic style of units or change in its tail. No, that "something" was Black Dragon graphic from HoMM3 and here is its reason:

It's shame that Ubisoft couldn't use HoMM3 3D models or pitures  in HD (as they are not longer avaiable) and instead focused on redoing tiny sprites.

They had no other choice, I think.
But I don't think remastering ROE is a good start. If I was Ubisoft, I redone all 9 towns from AB (maybe with campaigns of ROE/AB/SOD) at first.
And then make several expansions with new towns. Forge will be the first town they must release.

So as not to post the same large picture again, I'm referring to this image below:

cchydr01_HD

Another example of not-so-impressive uplifting work, imho. When you look at this uplifted Hydra, you can see how the focus is very weird between the heads and to rest of the body. Like, some of the heads stand out to much. It's not as noticeable when the image is smaller, though. Not the best workmanship Ubisoft could have paid for, I dare say.

They should also make more advanced map editor. Like Map editor that NWC use for some campaigns.

You can create a ROE random map in SOD game or map editor.

Am I the only one that wants to cry, because it will not be SoD?

Frankly, I'm missing the entire point of the remake of the game, especially RoE, the Weakest Homm3 game, though, it still is good enough.
I am not playing homm3 for its graphics - what would my money get me that it didn't when I bought the Homm3 Complete edition? Heroes 3 is fine as it is right now, still I am somewhat curious about this new release.

I really want to like this news, but I am kind of torn between surprise and then disappointment.

This new heroes game might prove popular as homm3 back in the day was a friggin amazing innovation in the strategy games' section - we might get lots of new blood to the heroes community and .. ah I am day-dreaming, nevermind

Ofc you can. But that means that you will have to generate map with SoD, AB, or Complete, and play it on HD remake. You will still have to have both versions On the other hand, if they include rmg, what is keeping them to include other AB/SoD content?

Money
Why do you want to sell three products for one price, when you could sell 3 products, each for the same price?
After all Blizzard already did that with Starcraft 2.

Isn't the most important thing with that remake,  that we now again can find online opponents easily ?  like in 2000-2001 ?

All the new graphics and other things  are just a bonus to me.

LordRiton, depends on the attitude and perspective towards this revival of homm3. We re the ones who made a petition about making a hd version of homm3 and they listened to us, yet we re being totally ungrateful and we re throwing sands in their wheel by making up mistakes they didn't even do, instead of being grateful that they re giving attention to our game.

Like someone else said before, community asks for HD remake, community gets HD remake, and it still whines like no tomorrow.

I am hopeful as I'm getting good vibes from it. I'll probably buy it if I'll have the money.

Well, to tell the truth my position was the same there that it has been here: please correct the knowed bugs, give us some modding suport, I don't care about the graphics.
I'm glad they made this version it can contribute to enlarge our community even more but open your GameRanger and tell me if you really think they are making us a favor. There are at least tree times more H3 games the H5. I believe H6 has it own meeting place in Ubi's headquarters but here there is noone playing it. On the other hand today is a clam day on Twitch, there are only tree guys streaming H3. How many streaming H6? The usual, NONE.

Another good thing could be that this game will probably become much easier to record. Most people who ever tried to record Homm3 know what I mean. From what I've read Camtasia Studios seems to work, but Fraps, ShadowPlay and nearly every freeware program I tried failed.
Just imagine any famous let's player deciding to play the new HoMM 3 HD Edition. This would actually be the best advertising for this game I can imagine.

This is business, I hope you realize. I don't know who asked for HD version, but at least I am sure for one thing, that wasn't me, and UBI can't count me in its butt-licker idiotic groupies, given the last HoMM sequels. From my perspective, one of the most important things which started to look old in HoMM III is the game play interface, and not the graphics which are still outstanding. But I can't say I was waiting for something from officials, as unofficial mods proved to be much more effective, like Baratorch HD-mod or some interface bonus Era mods.

Being able to check your backpack without scrolling 62 (!) possible artifacts, being able to transfer armies and artifacts in one click, being able to upgrade or buy ALL creatures at once (and not one click/each as vanilla), being able to cut that stupid battle music which takes up to 8 seconds EACH battle, being able to see battle stacks movement range graphically specified, being able to click-receive information about creature dwellings WITHOUT visiting them (empty/available number), THIS is what an hardcore player is naturally waiting. And if you think the game should apply both for hardcore and not hardcore fans, then accept that the hardcore guys can also formulate their critics and respect them.
