I really don't see any reason why to buy this game. Why should I pay for somehing that I already own with following enhancements: HDmod, HotA and Era (not to mention SoD and AB) that add plenty of functionality.
And there is no need to say what can you have with Era...

garm has been flaming negative on these forums for weeks now.
After listening to the full movie I can say what I think I've heard:
-No random map generator is true (which in my opinion means further balancing would not be needed since necropolis and inferno are not as OP on scenarios)
-No cross-platform true
-No addons/expansions true for the moment since this was on a time limit for the anniversary (15/20years hmm3/hmm). However they didn't say they were never going to do it, they did say they wanted to do it.
-They could think of making a competition in the future
-They did fix bugs (not 100% sure, but they said if there was any bugs after release they would fix them).
I'm looking forward of playing free for all scenario with 8 players

And what about the tablet version, does it only support Hotseat - as it was rumoured - or does it actually support direct ip, too?

I won a Steam key in a contest, and to be honest, so far I'm really enjoying it. Playing on a high resolution monitor and the quality of the creatures and terrain really beats any "HD"-mod out there. Obviously I miss the expansion packs and its features, and I really hope they manage to figure something out. Because in my opinion they've done a great job on the visuals.
I also have no issues on the technical side. Runs smooth as butter here.

Playing Free for All with armorer hero, I noticed stronghold citadel arrow tower doing 50+ dmg, so I suppose still bugged. Also all 7 other players left after two hours, there is really a need for finding people who dont quit even though you can fill your server up to 8 players in a matter of seconds.

You can use original RoE maps on this version, but not vice versa

Several things I noticed after a short while of playing (I won't mention QoL items that were introduced through the HD mod and similar):
- You can't press the space bar to 'use' an adventure map object (like a teleporter!), you actively have to step away from it and back up to it. I don't remember when this was initially introduced into the game, but apparently not in the vanilla game;
- When playing full screen, your mouse isn't locked to the window. I notice this because I have a dual monitor setup and whenever I move my mouse over to the border on the right side, my cursor slides further onto my second monitor. Quite annoying when you try to scroll the map;
- When you exit and get shown the combat results, there is a small but noticable "hickup" that wasn't present in the original game. It's like it's being shown about half a second later than what I am used to, but it feels like making a miss-step;

I think this is a feature of original H3. The space bar was added with AB or SoD, if I recall correctly.

So, I bought this for iPad and checked it out for 10 minutes or so, first impressions:
1- Only multiplayer is hot seat, which is my biggest disappointment.
2- Controls can be a little hard to get used to at times but nothing devastating.
3- Graphics are nice and it feels good to see the good ol' H3 on tablet screen.
4- No random map and not too many single scenarios as expected.
Now, I will try to actually play a game rather than just check features out, so, I'm out.

Am I alone in this case ? I'm trying to play an online game and there is basically... no game at all. I feel like i'm alone playing this game at the moment 
Maybe there is something I missed somewhere.
