Oh then is no biggie. I have no twitter and I just erased my fragbook account last month.

"I wanna be friends, add me!".
Me: "ok then, what you want to talk about, my new friend?"
"Umm, no, just be friends"

But seriously guys.. It's Homm3. 1:1 on mobile. How can you not get excited by this? Am I the only one here who loves the original game with all it's flaws?

Surely not, I am excited too when hearing about H3. To come home, sit down in front of computer and have a game. But, personally, I find that all people in public places spending their time their nose in mobile to play games look like pure idiots.

Now shoot me.

So what do you do in a bus / subway? Look around? Read a book? come on, that's like living in the 14th century... Don't forget to bring your sword... I enjoy gaming everywhere... Especially on the toilet btw.. Homm 3 is pretty great there.

I can only hope you do know that this is a somewhat paradoxical remark.
Anyway, cell phones are another reason why the laws concerning drugs are crap.

Lol! You are saying that like it is a bad thing to read a book I am gamer, but I like playing games on PC, even HoMM3 I also like to read good books, as I find them to have more value than games

People who didn't play video games do not travel on bus/subway, they have their Lamborghini already. Your pick.

All this reading about HOMM3 HD made me install my old copy of H3 complete today. The installer told me that the game requires 32MB of RAM and my 2GB is insufficient, am I sure I want to continue? I guess gigabytes didn't exist back then. So I took the risk and it works fine on Win8, although requires CD to play. Having a bit of fun on random map on impossible diff vs AIs.

H3 HD has all-negative reviews on the steam store page. I guess people compare the perceived potential of this project with the reality of Ubi having no code for the expansions.

The store page says "Important note: Heroes III – HD Edition content is based on the original 1999 game: The Restoration of Erathia." Which I think might not be clear enough for a number of excited fans. It should really also state "... without game balance patches and does not contain the expansion packs Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death". Sure, that would hurt the sales, but people would know full well what they are buying and thus be far less likely to post a negative review.

I'm with Sal and others here in preferring a proper computer for gaming. Why hunch and squint over a tiny screen with a microwave emitter? While the screens on ipads are nice to look at I just wouldn't want to buy a mostly useless toy which does not allow me to replace its battery due to planned obsolescence.

Well, I dont play games while I'm outside, to me, the comfortable part is being able to play while laying back on a sofa or a bed, laptops arent comfortable like tablets and once you get used to doing your internet surfing and similar stuff on a tablet, sitting on a chair in front of a desktop for hours, sometimes makes you feel tired. You start to prefer the tablet position, it's like getting used to the remote control of a tv, nobody missed them before they existed but now, a set without a remote would feel utterly inconvenient.

On a long bus/plane ride, on the other hand, I'd definitely prefer a good book. Or sometimes just looking out the window and contemplating about life, especially if the view is worth it.

Lol. I love inventions that push you into even more laziness. One day, I'll devolve into a sloth.

Btw, Sal, you could have set your Facebook account in a way that no strangers could see you and send invitations.

On a serious note, I have a mobile armchair in front of computer, I can lay on horizontal, vertical, all you want. very comfortable, feet go under the computer when you go on horizontal position, has pillows for head, for arms, and all this for less than 400 euros.

Since when does playing mobile means to do that exclusivly? I own a lot of hardware that needs to be used (highend PC, 3ds, PSP, Ps3, PS4, xbox, Galaxy Note, iPad..) because gaming is just my main hobby. It happens to bet that for like 35 years now, when someone gave me a Vectrex as a birthday present.

The only problem was, that mobile gaming (Android/IOS) was kind of boring in most cases. There were some good games like Hearthstone, Kotor or Xcom, but Homm 3 is a welcome addition to that for me. Because it's more or less the strategy game that I played most in the past 15 years.

I gladly pay 10 Euro for that. And certainly another 10 if they would bring AB + SoD...

Heh, I like the look of that chair!

I personally think that browsing on tablets is like fast food - convenient, but probably not so healthy. It's a question of whether low intensity microwave radiation has an adverse effect on human cells (which use low intensity electric effects for their functioning). I suspect we won't know the answer with 100% undeniable certainty for another decade or two, but I've seen enough to convince me of the risks.

I realize that my opinion is in the minority, but it is worth putting it out there. Looking at technological trends, wires have probably been the most unfairly ostracized technology in the last several years.

Can someone help me?

It's been a LONG time since I played H3 and I feel that this HD version runs really sluggish; like it's running at 30 fps...it's most evident in background animations like windmills and scrolling around the map.

Is there some issue or the issue is in my next generation gaming spoiled eyes?

You can set animation speed to faster, the default setting is the slowest and it's really like watching a turte walk on glue.

Did that, everything moves faster but animations look skippy andthe scrolling is still bad.

Maybe the game always ran like that and I am just too used to modern games?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I'm so excited about the iPad version! I've been reading this forum for quite some time, and today I decided to join the discussion and to give you my impressions on the mobile app.

First of, I don't think anybody is forcing anybody to buy tablets Every person has their needs, why try to argue about it? It's so pointless!

For example, I appreciate the opportunity of being able to lie down on a couch with my tablet for a change, after hours of sitting in front of my desktop. Spine needs rest, too!

And the game is gorgeous, the more platforms, the better! It deserves the largest audience.

However, I have iPad mini first gen, iOS 7, and performance has not been very impressive so far, it shuts down occasionally. I know they do advise about iPad mini 2 being a minimum requirement, but I mean, come on...  The machine for which I had bought this game for the first time years ago was NOWHERE NEAR iPad mini 1 in terms of computing power, what on Earth did they do to the game that it won't work properly?

I'm also disappointed about the lack of multi-player. I had hoped they implement something likable with the Game Center
