A nightmare,a faceless and a strider, for elites, would be so perfect,coherent,fitting,logical,refreshing (since only the faceless would be the recycled one), that it hurts :/
On top of that, put the beholder and the blood sister alongside the assassin and the cores would shine!
The hype that helped fury win, also helped faces:/ you can't have it all,but it's kind of funny that the new fans actually went for the least "fresh approach" in dungeon,despite going for the opposite of that in sylvan. Pfff..
One can only dream..

So genies have a sex-drive? This is easily the most interesting thing H7 has brought regarding lore. Let's just hope they treat the relationship with the care and respect it demands...

You do realize that last game we had a campaign where the main character was raped in the intro and is carrying her rapist son the entire campaign?

It was nothing but a plot point and served no purpose beyond driving said plot. Irina never had any development come out of it, her state was never explored beyond some random side-mission on the final map and no mental nor physical barriers were to be overcome. It was pretty much just there because the plot demands it, something i suspect will happen with this Lesbian romance (that has made me rather interested in playing it...) will be as well.
Credit where it's due, she does turn it to her advantage and it is presented tastefully. Still hardly any more than a footnote and might as well have been left out.
Ironically, just being a footnote is what this romance should be unless the story is a love-story. Then it needs to be front stage and center and influence most if not all other things happening in the campaign.

Because its not a raped girl story. Its a story about a commander who happened to be raped and preggers and for that matter she turned it in her advantage by seizing control of Wolf Duchy through her heir. But more importantly your point was your surprise at a mature topic in the all-magical and spiritual Ashan, when actually it doesnt shy away from them. I blame myself for continuing to expect coherence from you.

And the problem is that the rape-scene was unnecessary and was only added for Edginess, exactly what i complained about. You know how they could've made it? Making the marriage between Irina and the duke consensual (or at least not completely one-sided) and have it break apart after the fact. That way the duke would have some redeeming qualities (making him a bit more interesting than pure snowing evil) and the story doesn't look like it added awful and important themes for the sake of edginess.
It was an unnecessary addition that added nothing but at least managed to be harmless.
