Well the only thing from nordic mythology I can think of is Ravens. However, there is other options, giant bat (fits better in dungeon), snow owls. Perhaps, only perhabs, you could make use of this little strange idea i got:
A sort of either snow or fire spirit, appearing very similar to a young elven maiden. The idea is based of a older danish version of the elves, where the elven maidens is made purely of mist...
BTW, it's a teleport

Look on the previous page, I already had idea bout raven but just like Articun said it doesn't really fit Fortress, it's more like a darkness creature, 'bat' is already in necropolis line-up, not literally but it's bat-like creature - bloodsucker

Elven maiden made of mist ? no no, it doesn't fit Fortress and it could be too similar to Yuki-onna which is ice, snow and mist spirit

I hade idea about owl rider xd like a scout type of unit but I know it might be little weird and not to everyone liking (because I'm not sure i like it )

You know, since you added the mole creature, which would most likely have the burrowing movement ability, you (if I'm not wrong) have theoratically three "flyers"(H5 fortrees had one). That is more than enough if you want a tanky lineup. I'll suggest a shooter as an alterntive...

Truth be told mate, now you need to choose how your lineup will work. I mean, you have:

1. Tank units as in the Defender, Mole, Brontotherium rider and probably Jotun

2. Support or Saboteur units like Rune Priest, Valkyrie (maybe with smoke trail ability? or teleporter) and oracles (or Farseers or Runecasters)

3. And you have your Damage dealers as well

So all in all, your lineup is complete.

Defender, Orcale, White Bear, Salamander
Runecaster, Valkyrie, Cave (or Giant) mole, Brontotherium Rider
Fire Giant, Magma Dragon and Jotun

That way you have units are belong both to the iced earth as well as the fiery aspect of earth.

Ice: White bear, Brontotherium, Oracle, Jotun
Fire: Salamander, Fire Giant, Valkyrie
Hybrid: Rune Priest, Magma Dragon (or Obsidian Dragon)
Pure Dwarves: Defender
Earth: Mole

Articun, I wrote you a reply then deleted it and thought about it, the Oracle/Runecasters seemed too repetitive to me with rune priest so I thought about a miner/smith type of creature, it's going to be rune maker/rune artificer, his role would be supporting creatures with runes, more rune oriented than rune priest whose main role will be spellcasting, he will have pickaxe

Well, you could make him a ranged unit, to differentiate from Defender.

Have you seen vikings the series? If you did, make it like them, they use the axe to fight but can also throw it at enemies.

There was axe thrower in the previous version of the line-up and it was supposed to be supporting creature not ranged one, there is already salamander a shooter

Well this whole idea is pretty good! I'll suggest going for a miner/rune smith. Here only the upgrade got access to runes, in addition to some ability it had from the start. However, I can only really think of bravery as a possiblility...

I do have another suggestion for your Inferno. I first did it with my own Inferno idea in ICTC8.

I always found it odd that only the succubus managed to make it to the game and no Incubus has been found. So, i propose thus!

Make the Succubus and Incubus share the same dwelling, allowing heroes to build it but choose what creature it produces. Succubus will be ranged, while Incubus will be melee.

Succubi & Incubi

I agree with Articun here. In my version of Inferno, with it being the faction of chaos & change, Succubi- who are shooters & debuffers- can transform into Incubi- who are melee debuffers- and vice versa. The explanation is that Demons are actually sexless (they just choose a favorite form), and Succubi/Incubi specifically are formed from mortal souls, especially those of Cultists or those sacrificed or tempted by them. They are devoured by Breeders & transformed into Imps and then over centuries claw & fight their way to regain some of their mortal forms & memories- except highly twisted by the chaos & evil of Sheogh. The next step in that evolution are Devils, BTW, with Pit Fiends spawning directly from the blood of Urgash.

I think that Succubi and Incubi are not part of the Imp cycle. A marked soul is reborn in Sheogh, not by a breeder (i think) as either an Incubus or a Succubus. How the sex option works, i do not know. But that's what they become and i think cannot change into something else like the other demons. They can become very powerful but that's just it.

Any other info on the matter though from official source would be highly appreciated for my own personal enrichment on the matter

IMHO

some of the official stuff is absurd & boring, so I create my own versions. Like in D&D's version of the Fiends (Devils & Demons), I believe that most souls damned to Sheogh are tortured for all eternity in an eternal cycle of pain & consumption, until eventually being reduced to nothing. However, as centuries & millenias pass the eternal fire & predation of older & more powerful Demons cull the weak from the strong, & "purify" the damned souls of everything that once made them human until only sin- hate, envy, lust, greed, gluttony etc. remains. Souls who somehow managed to survive are reincarnated as Imps after being devoured by Breeders, & have to fight their way to the top. Imps eventually become Familiars, pretending to serve powerful mortals (mostly spellcasters like Wizards & Warlocks- Necromancers don't trust them, and many of them already lack souls) while subtly corrupting their souls. Eventually those Familiars who damned enough souls to Sheogh are reincarnated once more, given a form reminding their appearance in life- only unnaturally beautiful, and unnaturally corrupted at the same time. These are the Lust Demons, able to appear alternately as Succubi or Incubi to seduce & damn the maximum number of mortal souls & emphasizing different aspects of Sheogh's endless lust, cunning, perversion & corruption.

Finally, Succubi Mistresses (or Incubi Masters) who survived for millenia & destroyed enough competition encase themselves in a cocoon made of damned souls, emerging after 66 days as Devils- petty rulers of Sheogh & leaders of the Demonic armies, second only to the Demon Lords themselves.

Other than the Imp-Succubus-Devil progression, Sheogh's armies (as all Demons are capable of & relish killing) are made of Demonic beasts & creatures born directly from the soil of Sheogh & Urgash's boiling blood (like Hell Hounds, Nightmares, Hell Worms, Breeders & Pit Fiends), who were never mortal in the first place. In addition, there are also allied non-Demonic beings, both mortal & immortal (Cultists & Efreet), changed into semi-Demonic creatures by long exposure to Sheogh's fell energies & influence.

These are my two cents about Sheogh and its heirarchy.

I would like to come with a suggestion for a reworked bastion lineup. It's primary purpose is to cut the lineup down to fit the format of the others, however it will also involve a few changes and suggestions of inprovements.

Core
Lizardman/Lizardman Tracker (Walker/shooter) Ranged damage dealer with area of effect ability (aktive ability)
Serpent Fly/Dragon Fly (Flier/Melee) Fast flying saboteur with weakening attack
Nixie /Nixie Witch (Walker/Spell caster) Melee spell caster with earth and water spells
Toad/Poisonous Toad (Walker/shooter) Saboteur with Poisonous touch and venomous attack

Elite
Sobek/Sobek Warrior (Walker/Melee) Powerful damage dealer with enrage ability (gatorman renamed)
Gorgon/Catoblepas (Walker/melee) Damage dealer/saboteur using a deathstare and a venomous breath (poison surrounding creatures) ability
Cockatrice/Cockatrice Raptor (Flier/Melee) Sabotuer with pretrification abilities
Naturalist/Master Naturalist (Walker/Spell caster) Ranged spell caster with unique summoning spells

Champion
Coalt/Quetzacoalt (Flier/Melee) Flying damage dealer with scavengering ability and imunity to air
Mantis/Alpha Mantis (Flier/Melee)
Cipactli/Rampaging Cipactli (Walker/melee)

This is only how I would like to have it done, and I only ask you to consider it...

Can I say I really like that you keep improving your proposed line-ups. Those are much better at making you want to play than H7.

I really liked what you did with Inferno and Sanctuary. I agree though that Fortress could get a flyer in core, and I'm not convinced by the cave mole yet.

Finally, can I suggest a slight name change for the beast hunter in Haven? I would use falconer and master falconer, this would be less wild than "hunter" in my opinion and still be respective of the faction. And this way, haven usual animals are all represented: wolves, falcons and griffins.

Put away Brontotherium rider, replace him with Battle Bear and insert raven in place of it. Or replace the Bear with something long gone-like a bird gone extinct in the Ice Age or something. Or a flying elf.

The core is basicly the same as mine, the elite the new one is cockatrice and if it would look like THIS then I'm going to say no but if it would look like THIS I would say yes
About Quetzacoalt I don't think it fits Bastion, it's not a swamp creature it's more a jungle creature, a Basilsik as a huge snake like creature with digging ability is like a flier for the line-u

What do you think about all of this Articun ?

Well it was decided here that raven doesn't fit Fortress, ice age bird ? i don't know about that, for now I'm gonna leave Fortress as it is maybe with time I'm gonna find something better fitting this faction

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm gonna change sylvan line-up, but only change place of treant and silver pegasus, treant will be a shooter (like we heard from the rumors) this way sylvan champions would have a flier, tank and shooter, and also there would be a flier in elite, I think that makes more sense
