I think the priest is most elegant in design. It is simple and yet readable. Perhaps people are a bit tired of gaudy additions, like crowns, bandages, scepters and long curved swords, expecially since heroes 6 and heroes 7 creatures and heroes seem to be way overdesigned anyway? They may just want a powerful mage who just carries a book around.
Also, I still think letting people for your design is just a slight step up from design by committee and that you're better of maintaining a creator's vision of design.

The results in this case are very surprising for me. Yes I expected a tight battle but tha order se somewhat reversed. More so for me since the current winer is my least favorite idea.

I wonder how many priest voters did so because Ashan necro is a cult and how many just wanted to break free from the typical lich mold. Even more curious if the votes have been purged of potential cheats yet.

Well, it says vote results seem to be legit. Night Lady ... Mummy ... you gave a nice effort. Galaad's Undead Sorcerer has fallen out of grace. But realy, average is 33% for each option, or about a third of voters.
This isn't surprising actualy, ass all options were good. My second choice would be Priest of Death, because, like I said, he dosen't have staff ... oh well ... leggless one it is.

Now here's a surprise. I did not expect the Priest to come out on top, but, with a 1% difference, anything is still possible. Whichever one wins, I'll be satisfied.

The fact that the undead sorcerer was closest to the H6 lich in design might have scared some people away from that option. Also, anyone in favour of a skeletal lich could've seen that the priest was the most skeletal of the three designs.
Btw, why are people so in favour of legs? Feet I can understand, but legs? Imo a lich should wear robes. This was demonstrated by the H6 lich, which was in dire need of some robes.
