I expected BM and NL to be neck-and-neck, possibly with BM in the lead. Slightly surprised the VK got as many as it did.

I think all can look good in armor without problem, but with weapons will vary. A four-legged creature crawl on ground, holding a weapon will looks pretty awkward, because they need all four legs for moving. But a humanoid dragon/manticores standing on hind legs will be fine.

The only time I think a "four legged" creature can work with a weapon is if they have a gait like gorillas, which really have arms, but they still walk or rest on them. Which, coincidentally, is what Pit Lords look like. It works... but they still really are arms, not true "legs".

This result is less surprising. The Blood Monster and the Night Lady were always closely matched. Anyway, I hope the Blood Monster wins.

With the results this close and assuming the recount does not change that, I wouldn't be surprised if they amalgamated the two "winning" concepts.

I was relieved when I saw that that the Blood Monster won, but as I wrote in the thread about choosing a Lich design, it's only 1% of advantage. I will wait with opening a bottle of champagne until the official announcement about results is presented.

Don't you think that you've been reprimanded because of the way you tend to post? Your posts frequently come across to me as more acidic and with more vitriol than needed, which makes it more likely that a moderator takes action against it than with other users (although there are more posters who post with a negative attitude, you're not alone).

The contest was pretty cheap to begin with, what with there being very little difference between the concepts to begin with.
The Knight and the Monster could have been twins, with only one having learned how to use cutlery. The Lady could have been their sister.
I think most people who voted for the Monster, voted for it to get rid of a Vampire with a sword. Most who voted for the Lady, did so because female Vampires are a novelty on a HoMM battlefield.
A Lady Blood Monster would give both what they want.
But let's wait for the official results.
