Era II doesn't like my mouse

Hello,

when I run the game with h3era.exe, even with no mods (only WOG), the FPS will drop everytime when I move the mouse while playing (10-20 fps, depending on the speed of the movements). After some experiments, I discovered that it occurs only when I use a specific mouse.

The mouse is a Gigabyte M6900. The "bug" persists when I reduce DPI and occurs on different computers (one with XP, one with Windows 7). However, it happens only on Era  (not on vanilla Heroes 3, WoG and HotA) and disappears when I use an older mouse.

This unfortunately makes Era really annoying to play . I wonder if something like that has already been seen and if there is a solution ?

Thank you in advance for the answer and for your great updates

I don't think there is a lot of code related to mouse and stuff in Era, isn't it ?

Funny thing, I recently played some games as well, and noticed the same thing. The thing is, I only played Complete & HotA, and in both cases (with the HD mod, notice) with certain mouses, the game stops completely when moved. For example, when the hero moves on the adventure map, move your mouse and the game totally pauses. Stop your mouse and no problem, the game continues. I think it's to do with the HD mod, not ERA, since it happens for me on both Complete and HotA, on two separate PCs both with Win 8.1. Have not tested on Linux.

Running h3wog with HD mod does not produce any lag. I really have no idea what it could be xD

On the game menu for example, when I move the cursor on an icon (for example "New Game") , there is a little delay before the yellow border appears around it. The delay is very noticeable when I move the mouse fast.
In game, when I move the mouse while an hero is moving, it will freeze until I stop moving.

The mouse works, but it's like the game becomes slower when I move and only reacts to the cursor moves after a short delay.

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately it does nothing (and it was set to 0). (I read the other values but nothing looks related to mouse to me)

I'm late to the party but I had same problem with mouse/fps drops.
Changing one of the options in plugin manager did fix it, unfortunately I don't remember which one was it.
Try setting them like mine and check if there's any difference.

Edit: or maybe it was heroes3.ini, here's my dump http://pastebin.com/Yp6HbpGW

WOW thanks a lot !!

The problem came from this line in the Heroes3.ini :

CpuPatch=1

If I set it to 0, the problem disappears. What is this thing supposed to do ? Is it safe to disable it ?
