I found a work around.
Change the difficulty when you start the campaign and it will work (tested with Q31J.exe before the mod but should be applicable here).

Some questions :

1. Is it possible to make level up of secondary heroes worthwhile with this mod ? I usually play hotseat with my friend (and 2 additional AI) and to win the game I have to concentrate all experience and 99% of my army on my primary hero. Other heroes are just scouting/transporting/gathering resources.

2. Are the 14x14 battlefields only on interior new maps ? My first fights outdoors are all on the default 10x10.

3. Is movement speed increased on 14x14 maps ? Otherwise shooters, which are already more powerfull than melee, will have an even greater advantage.

4. Is it possible to get a floating text when receiving a skill in the witch hut.

Small glitch : When I hover over 'treant I' on the skill description page, a window 'Demon Lord' pops up.

Everytime i use ARMG Editor exe and i press on "monsters" - my exe crashs.

Something other:
Is there a possibility to add a console script or function that passes the turn again? Would be sooooo helpfull if the game doesnt pass the turn on itself...

I wanted to have a good time, but my PC crashed while playing, corrupting something on the kernel and now I can't use it

First H6, then H5, I must be cursed or something

I did some tests on starting heroes. They are very well done !!

I only found one bug when you chose to start the game with hero whose specialization is certain creature, where all slots where filled with that creature. It starts with 3 slot creatures while it should be 2.

For example - if you buy Telsek from tavern he will come with 2 slots of warmongers.
if you start the game with him you will get 2 slots of warmongers and 1 slot of archers.
Dougal - 2 slots archers + 1 peasant.
Havez - slots gremlins + 1 gargoils.

Same goes for the rest.

The worst is the chieftain that spec Centaurs.
He starts with 10 centaurs, 10 centaurs, 36 goblins.

1. Well this is still HOMM, but it basically depends on the map. For example on 2P-Std there are just 2 castles with a treasure zone, but on 5P-Ulti you will have to manage 6 castles and conquer another 9 at some point.

3. No, that's why I didn't want to have large battlefield for simple kill 1x golem stack battles and I set the treasure vaults to have very prosperous growth.

4. I was considering a sound effect (like it was), but i have not found it yet.

The glitch is easy to fix, thanks

Sorry to hear this, but i would like to let you know the MMH55 does not 'mess' with your windows installation, it doesn't even modify the registry like many. The mmh55 exe files are only a few bytes different from the others. I think this could have happened with any other H5 installation. If you suffer from crashes using the 64 bit file, revert to the normal one.

In TOE they start with 3 of the same so 3x warmongers, 3x centaurs etc. It is funny, you proposed this balance change yourself in the RPE thread, but i may have made some mistakes with the barbarians.

If i use the ARMG Editor and i press in the object panel on the panel "monsters", then my exe crashes. I can press on any other object container, except on this one. If i use the normal exe. All is working.

Sometimes during Lan mode, the game doesnt want to pass the turn:
Both players remain in "wait for other players turn"-phase. It would be nice if there would be a function or a script command to end the actual turn and turn on the next turn.

I have an object list panel and a tool panel, but no object panel?

In TOE they start with 3 of the same so 3x warmongers, 3x centaurs etc. It is funny, you proposed this balance change yourself in the RPE thread, but i may have made some mistakes with the barbarians.


I clearly remember my proposal, I was not sure what was the decision you made about it:

1. did you reduce the stacks from 3 -> 2
2. or you just changed the 3 stack to smth. else.

Currently 1 happens to heroes that you buy from tavern while 2 happens to heroes that you start the game with. I guess one of the two should be working in both cases but which one?

The idea was to replace one of the 3 stacks with another one that is either weaker (ossir) or stronger (orson) based on the imbalance of the original composition.

The H6 interface looks good, but it doesn't offer much more lookahead than the H5 default.

Oh, but in truth this is making me a favor, a 7 yo Win XP desktop isn't of much use these days. My mother has already taken the hint that a new pc might in order, so I may not have to pull it all on my money

What bothers me is that I don't have first-hand experience of it before promoting it on the news, so I'll have to stick to your enlightening masterposts.

FYI, I did run the 32 bit .exe, and I enter the main menu, graphical options when it crashed. Dunno why, although it has been years since I last ran the game on that pc (and it worked fine back then). Oh well...

Old PCs often work like a charm if they are completely formatted and windows reinstalled with all drivers updated, but that's off-topic. It is possible to change graphics settings before starting the game in the user.cfg file somewhere in My Documents / My games folder.

I didnt try to open console to c if there is a message.
Cant load the game cause we had a homm lan party 2 days ago with 6 ppl.

After month 2 the game got stuck and we remained in "wait for other player" - phase. A function for the host to force the end of the turn would be nice.

Here is another problem i have (dont know why... installed all correctly):

@lotihoti, I am trying to troubleshoot this issue.

I need the following info:

1. How big is the map you play?
2. is there underground?
3. are there teleports on the map?
4. What is the level of your hero? or have battle?
5. did you level up on the turn that crashed?
6. Did you try loading the game and pass turns without doing anything? it works for that day but it is no workaround as the game will hang on the next day.
